Macon Regional Crimestoppers We assist law enforcement agencies in eight counties in central Georgia (Bibb, Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Twiggs).

We are a nonprofit organization that serves as a confidential source between the public and law enforcement, for information used to help apprehend wanted fugitives. Our organization is a non-profit group that serves as a confidential source for the community to share what is known about crime without the fear of retaliation. Our assistance includes receiving telephone , text messages and emailed

tips from individuals who can contact our program 24 hours a day, 478.742.2330 / 1.877.68crime to report information concerning criminal activity. All callers may remain anonymous and may receive a reward up to $2,000.00 for information, which leads to the arrest of a suspect or solves a crime. The tip information is forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency for their use. Our program was created in 2000 and since that time information provided on our tip line has led to the arrest of over 6,505 individuals. The information we have provided has led to the recovery of property worth over $792,543.00. We have paid rewards, since our inception, of $1,097,417.00
In addition, we publicize specific requests for assistance from our law enforcement partners through our relationship with the media outlets serving the eight county area. The members of the Board of Directors for Macon Regional Crime Stoppers are private businessmen, businesswomen and citizens who devote their time and money to make Greater Macon area a safer place to live.

Joint Enforcement Operation

On Friday, August 28, 2026, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division initiated a joint enforcement initiative. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office C.I.T.E. Unit, H.E.A.T. Unit, SRT Unit, and K-9 Interdiction Unit, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, conducted a joint operation focused on proactive patrols, traffic enforcement, and crime suppression efforts throughout the Macon-Bibb County area.

Several traffic stops were conducted during the operation. As a result, several arrests were made, 68 traffic citations were issued, 32 traffic warnings were given, and three warrants were served.

Upon completion of the operation, the following items were recovered:
Approximately five fi****ms seized
An undisclosed amount of money
Ma*****na
A white, powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine
Sheriff David Davis stated:

“Details such as this go beyond traffic enforcement. Through coordinated efforts, our deputies and law enforcement partners can identify dangerous activity, remove illegal drugs and fi****ms from our streets, and apprehend wanted individuals before they can further threaten our residents. I appreciate the dedicated efforts of our C.I.T.E., H.E.A.T., SRT, and K-9 Interdiction units, along with the Georgia State Patrol. Their teamwork helps protect the people of Macon-Bibb County and makes our community safer for everyone.”

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would also like to thank the Georgia State Patrol for its assistance during the Joint Enforcement Operation.

UPDATE: Death Investigation on Maynard Street

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred inside of a residence in the 1100 block of Maynard Street. The call came into the Macon Bibb E-911 Center at 11:42 a.m., Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to the area to investigate a report of shots being fired inside a residence and discovered a forty-five-year-old black male identified as Dan Anderson suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley declared the victim deceased on the scene. According to Deputy Coroner Miley, the victim’s family has been notified.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Death Investigation on Maynard Street
