Sometimes God’s work in our lives feels more like cutting than blessing. We lose things we wanted to keep, walk through seasons we didn’t choose, and wonder why He is allowing it.

But a good gardener doesn’t prune a vine to harm it. He prunes it because he sees its potential for greater fruit.

If God is removing something from your life, don’t assume He has abandoned you. Trust that He is shaping you, strengthening you, and preparing you for growth that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. 🤍🙏🏻

Making excuses for someone you love is one of the most human things you can do. It comes from a place of care, from wanting to believe the best about them, from not being ready to see what seeing clearly would require you to do next.

But at some point, calling behavior what it actually is becomes an act of self-respect. You stop softening the story for friends and for yourself. You let their actions speak without narrating over them with hope. You hold them to the same standard you'd apply to anyone else. And you get honest about the gap between what's actually happening and what you've been telling yourself is happening.

Clarity isn't the enemy of love. Sometimes it's the only way to protect yourself from it.

❤️🙏🏼Live like Jesus

The way we treat people often speaks louder than the words we say.It's easy to be kind when life is going well. It's easy to be gracious when everyone agrees with us. But Christ calls us to something deeper. To notice the overlooked. To serve without recognition. To offer compassion when it's inconvenient. To love people not because they deserve it, but because He first loved us.

Our faith was never meant to stay inside church walls. It was meant to be carried into our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and everyday conversations. Sometimes the most powerful testimony isn't found in what we say about Jesus. It's found in how we reflect Him. Truth.

If you grew up feeling like your needs were too much, apologizing for having them probably became automatic.

"I'm sorry I got so emotional." "I'm sorry I need so much reassurance." "I'm sorry for being a burden." Most people don't even realize they're doing it. It just feels like the polite thing to say.

But apologizing for your needs teaches the people around you that those needs are a problem. Gratitude does something completely different. It acknowledges what someone gave you instead of shaming yourself for needing it.

"Thank you for holding space for me" lands in a completely different place than "sorry I got so emotional." Same moment. Totally different message.

Look for the little things going well 😊

Quick science lesson, and it's a good one.

Your brain has a positivity bias baked into its wiring. Threats get flagged fast. Problems get stored deeply. Good moments? Your conscious mind skims right past them unless you make it stop being busy and reactive.

That's why appreciation takes effort. Actively noticing what's going right, even the smallest things, triggers a real dopamine response. Your nervous system settles. Your nonconscious mind starts recalibrating what it looks for by default: healthy thinking. One small moment of genuine noticing, repeated consistently, actually changes what your brain scans for.
This is not toxic positivity. This is directed attention, and it works.

Look around. Something small is going right right now. Start there.

Truth! Thank you, God, for your restoration process when we lean into You!

People love to say, “What hurt you made you stronger.”
But sometimes pain doesn’t make you stronger at all. Sometimes it leaves you exhausted, anxious, bitter, numb, or barely holding yourself together. Some battles don’t build you, they break you.

What made the difference was Jesus.

Jesus met me in the middle of the grief, the confusion, the disappointment, and the silent nights nobody knew about. He stayed when I felt abandoned. He carried me when I had no strength left to carry myself. He reminded me that being shattered was not the end of my story.

The pain destroyed parts of me.
The pride.
The illusion of control.
The version of me that thought I could survive without God.

But Jesus rebuilt me.

Piece by piece.
Prayer by prayer.
Grace by grace.

Not into who I was before, but into someone more dependent on Him, more compassionate, more grounded, and more aware of His presence than ever before.

No, I don’t glorify the pain.
I glorify the Savior who walked with me through it and refused to leave me there. 🤍🙏🏻
