Don’t forget tomorrow starts the new Facebook rule where they can use your photo Don't forget Deadline tomorrow !!! Everything you've ever posted becomes public from tomorrow. Even messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308- 1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute). NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tacitly allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.
I ignored this post earlier, but It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed.
Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore,
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste.
This will bypass the system.

It is with deep sadness that we let you know that our founder, Owen has unexpectedly passed away. We could not be more proud of the human being that Owen was. Kind, funny, courageous and selfless. We are proud to expand his foundation and legacy into a scholarship program for students wanting to complete their Physical therapy assistant program at South University and also in support of conservation efforts as those were his passions. He loved baseball, travel (usually to where there was a pro baseball park) and a huge passion for advocating for fairness and love. He inspired those around him to take positive action, to be better people. He was a game changer.
We are so grateful that through his efforts we were able to meet, to learn, to play. Thank you for being part of the fields of friends family. We hope that you will continue to be part of Owen's mission.

It is with great sadness that I am posting this on Owen’s FB page. Owen passed away on Easter Morning and we miss our son and friend dearly. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us while we have been in this period of great sadness. Your love for Owen has filled our hearts, as your messages to him make us realize how truly loved he was.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, April 23rd at 10am on the baseball fields at Mary Help of Christians in Tampa. This will be a casual event and you can bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. We hope to use this time to let people share their stories about Owen. We look forward to sharing this time with you. We will be setting up a scholarship in his name. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to fieldsoffriends.org

Life is Better When You Are Laughing

03/10/2021

Hello my friends, it has been a year since I have approached you on behalf of fields of friends with a fun & philanthropic way for all former Jefferson Township grads to get together and reconnect
We are now only 6 months away from our target date of August 14 and we really need your help in order to succeed.
As you may know, several of our former JTHS classmates have challenged themselves this past year in planning a unique way for us to give back while coming together. Also know, we are a small-100% volunteer run organization. When our volunteers are hurting, things may move slower and goals being met become more of a challenge. They like you, have struggled through the loss of parents, friends, family, pets, houses and so much more. They have stayed on course, no matter how much they have struggled; they have hung onto the hope that we will come together and make this event happen.
I am so proud of all of their efforts.
To throw a bigger wrench in our progress, 2 weeks ago I broke 1 arm and badly bruised the other. This has made each task painful and difficult for me, and delayed us moving forward to reaching our goals. So, we are asking for you to please step up and find out how you can bring this event to fruition.
One key piece of our puzzle is a virtual 5k fundraiser. There seems to be a bunch out there, but it has been overwhelming and we need guidance. Who has organized or participated in one? What software did they use?? Was that software user friendly when organizing an event and easy for the participant to register? Was the software that your group used expensive? We are totally grateful for any experience that you can lend us. Our goal is to race on May 1, 2021.
Next, we are working with Bonfire on designing event shirts for a delightful fundraiser. We are starting this campaign on April 1st. This is also a fundraiser to help us reach our goals. You will be able to purchase on our website, please stay tuned for an opportunity to raise $ to get together while making a change.
We have raised $1000 toward our Being Good Neighbors program. That is 10% of a 15K meal/ 100 volunteer’s event. Fields of friends is a 501c3 organization and each of your donations are tax-deductible. Is your business in the north east NJ area or anywhere really, and would like to become a sponsor, we would be so grateful?
SO, what action can you take right now?
1) Register. Go on our website, Fieldsoffriends.org and register for our Being Good neighbors’ program. Let us know that you are joining us to help feed our friends and neighbors in need. Register you spouse or significant other, your kids, grandkids, students. Let’s spread kindness everywhere.
2) Give. If you would pay $50 to go to a reunion, please consider a tax-deductible donation in that amount to help us reach our goal. If you have time or a talent that you can share-PLEASE do.
3) Sponsor. Would you like to get your business involved? Do you know of a business that we can approach for support? Please consider becoming a sponsor.
4) Guide. Please help us to run a successful virtual 5k.
Thank you so much for being part of the team.
Please go on our website and find out how you can help bring us all together fieldsoffriends.org

Thank you for your kindness
