Friday Unit and Post 575 members and handed out poppies at United Supermarket on 82nd & Frankford ave. It’s always a joy to hear some of our veteran’s stories, but most of all how “they” honor the brothers / sisters that died along side them; before them and after. 😢❤️

Join the Silent Wings Museum as we commemorate the anniversary of the Normandy Invasion. D-Day reminds us to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the Glider Pilots who flew unarmed gliders into landing zones deep into enemy territory as seaborne troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. We honor the men who flew these missions and the men they carried into the combat zones on that fateful day.
