Today we remember and honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. At West Texas Hero Homes, their legacy inspires our mission every day - to serve those who've served 🇺🇸🏡.

Larry is 47 years old, a husband, a father, and a United States Navy Veteran who served our country for over 20 years. He is currently on hospice care here in Lubbock.

His final wish is simple but deeply meaningful: to be buried beside his son.

Four years ago, his family experienced the unimaginable loss of their 15-year-old son, who is laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego. Now, we have the opportunity to help reunite them.

While the VA covers the burial honors, they do not cover the cost to transport Larry from Lubbock to San Diego. That cost exceeds $10,000 and must be paid upfront. Travel expenses for his wife and two sons add even more.

This is where our community steps in.

• Travel for his family to be there

Last night’s Fight for Heroes night was one to remember. 🥊

The boxers showed up ready, brought the energy, and delivered some incredible fights from start to finish. Every round reflected the heart, discipline, and grit that makes this sport so powerful. 💥

We’re especially proud that these athletes stepped into the ring in support of a powerful mission—building mortgage-free homes for disabled veterans and first responders in our community. Supporting heroes, building futures. 🇺🇸 🤍
