The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) provides a full-time staff person and also provides the actual location for the Rainbow Room.

The Rainbow Room in Lubbock is an emergency resource room located at Child Protective Services assisting caseworkers with resources/supplies to provide for children/family needs. The staff person, along with Community Partners Board members, network with the community as ambassadors of both the agency and the volunteer board and interact with and coordinate with caseworker to facilitate activities that will benefit the children and their families. It is the goal of Community Partners to increase community awareness of child abuse and help children grow up to be healthy, productive adults.
