We want to give a special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Vic (featured in the first picture) who also brought out his grandsons to be a part of our first Community Art Class of the Fall!

Our Community Art Classes have started back and we started out with a Spider-Man Acrylic Painting Workshop.

In honor of the newest Spider-Man movie out now we listened to the movie soundtracks, ate popcorn and create our own renditions of what Spider-Man looks like and means to us!

Check out all the great paintings created this past Sunday. As we always say, there's something beautiful in making art within community. There's the opportunity to grow collectively and individual while using art as a tool for justice.

We had a great discussion of "We Beat the Streets" by Dr. Sampson Davis, Dr. Rameck Hunt, and Dr. George Jenkins with Sharon M. Draper during our last book club gathering.

We discussed adversity, over coming challenges when you are young, friendship, going to college, and Tupac. There was also an opportunity to create pamphlet journals to take home.
