Meet April and her family! 💙

April is a mom of four, with kids ranging in age from 2 to 13, and serving together has become a special part of their family’s rhythm.

You’ll often find this sweet family spending their Saturday mornings serving others at the Lubbock Dream Center.

When asked why she keeps coming back, April shared:
“I come to serve. My whole week is thrown off if I don’t. I bring the kids to show them how to lead the way.”**

And her children are learning firsthand what it means to care for their community. When we asked what they love about serving, they said:

💙 “I like helping people!”
💙 “I love coming because I get to learn more about people. Nobody has to want help, but I like that they trust us to help and I like helping too!”

For April and her children, serving isn’t just something they do—it’s something they get to do TOGETHER! And week by week, these kids are learning that they’re never too young to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Atmos, we are so grateful for your partnership! Thank you for providing brand new backpacks for kids at our Back to School Blessing this year. 250 kids left with a brand new bag 🎒📚✏️ to start their year off well! Together, we can accomplish great things for this community!

has been a great supporter of our haircut outreach here at the Lubbock Dream Center! They recently provided hygiene packs for us to give out at our last big haircut event - and everyone loved them so much. So far this year, we have provided 450 FREE haircuts to those in need of a fresh look! It's incredible what a little time, attention and care can do to the dignity of someone in need. Blue Sky team - we are so grateful for partners like you who want to take that care to the next level.

We are so thankful for the many individuals who helped support our Back to School Blessing through monetary and in-kind donations! We are especially grateful to Earl's Plumbing, Heating & Air, Caprock Home Health Services, Inc., and Maverick Roofing and Contracting for sponsoring this event and making it possible to bless each of these families in such special ways! Your generosity has impacted many lives, who just needed a little help and a little hope.
