A major flash flood struck northern Nepal on August 26, 2026 (Wednesday morning), primarily along the Bhote Koshi (Bhotekoshi) River near the Tibet/China border in Rasuwa district, with impacts extending downstream to Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, and other areas.
