Often at Stillwater Ranch, the impact of giving is measured in a family keeping their home, the lights staying on, food being on the table, and a Veteran having the breathing room to find a way forward. Thank you to those who helped make a difference once again in the life of a military family by supporting the work of Stillwater Ranch. Keep reading to see how together we are making a difference!
There really aren't enough words to express what the generosity of Stillwater Ranch, Wendy, and everyone who supports their mission has meant to my family.
I am a veteran, and like many veterans, I have experienced some difficult seasons after my time in service. There is a certain weight that comes with trying to provide for your family while also navigating circumstances that are sometimes completely outside of your control. Asking for help is not always easy, especially when you've spent much of your life being the person others depend on.
My family reached a point where we genuinely needed that help. Stillwater Ranch stepped in and helped us with multiple bills, and that assistance made a very real difference in our lives. Because of their generosity, we were able to maintain our housing, keep our electricity on, and make sure our family had food on the table.
That wasn't just financial assistance. It gave my family breathing room. It gave us the ability to focus on getting back on our feet instead of constantly worrying about which basic necessity we were going to have to go without.
As a husband, father, and veteran, I cannot adequately describe what it means to have someone step in during a time like that and remind you that you aren't alone.
What makes it even more meaningful to me is knowing that our family is only one of many veteran families that Stillwater Ranch and its supporters have helped. Knowing that people are willing to give their own time and resources to stand behind veterans who are struggling is incredibly humbling.
To Wendy, Stillwater Ranch, and every donor who makes this possible: thank you. You didn't simply help us pay bills. You helped us keep our home, keep the lights on, put food on the table, and keep moving forward when things felt overwhelming.
You may never know just how much your generosity has meant to my family, but I hope you know that it mattered. It gave us hope, stability, and the opportunity to keep fighting our way back.
