Former President of the U.S. Jimmy Carter and former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter were active advocates for affordable housing and volunteers of Habitat for Humanity. The Carters had a profound impact on the organization, so much so they led the annual Carter Work Projects for 30+ years!

This combined with our wonderful community, some of our employees had the opportunity to stop by the Lundeen Sculpture Studio in downtown Loveland to meet one of the artists (George Lundeen) and to see the new Jimmy Carter art piece that was created for the U.S. Naval Academy.

Thank you to Jimmy Carter for all the doors he opened to safe, affordable housing and to Lundeen Sculpture Studio for giving us a tour of all your amazing artwork!

Our Executive Director, Cindi Hammond (pictured right), joined Karen Kallenberg from Habitat for Humanity of Colorado and other Habitat affiliates and partners in Denver yesterday evening for the Housing Colorado 2026 Eagle Awards!

The Eagle Awards are presented each year to recognize a variety of programs, projects, and people within the affordable housing industry.

Our neighbors, Loveland Housing Authority were nominated for their Jacoby Meadows Apartments Project!

We have officially wrapped up our annual Women Build event! Over 500 hours of work came directly from our wonderful volunteers.🩷

A big thank you to these volunteer groups: Precision Chiropractic, Jacki and Holly, Baessler Homes, and High Plains School for joining us at the construction site.

Also, thank you to our sponsors for donating lunch throughout the month of May for our volunteers! Daddy-O's Green Onion, Chick-fil-A Loveland, Krazy Karl's Pizza - Loveland, Runza Restaurants, Loveland.

We are grateful for the continued support from our community who believe in our mission to help local individuals and families achieve affordable homeownership.

It’s May, which means we've kicked off our annual Women Build event!

Throughout the month, organizations and individuals come together to help achieve our mission while bonding and gaining hands-on construction experience. 🔨
