We’re honored to introduce our 2026 Running River Benefits families 🤍
This year, we have the privilege of supporting two incredible families—both facing complex medical journeys with strength, love, and resilience.
✨ Eddie K’s family
Eddie was born in September 2025 and was quickly diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect called Ebstein’s Anomaly. His heart is unable to function properly, and he is currently in heart failure. Eddie has been on the heart transplant list since he was just weeks old and has not left the hospital since the day he was born.
Despite everything, he continues to grow, gain strength, and show his bright, happy personality each day.
✨ Wylder K’s family
Wylder is 18 months old and has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition involving the COL4A1 gene, affecting multiple systems in his body. His journey has included repeated hospitalizations, respiratory complications, feeding challenges, and ongoing specialized care. He is also facing chronic kidney disease and will need a kidney transplant in the future.
Even with these challenges, Wylder is full of life—learning to communicate, play, and explore the world in his own way.
These families are walking incredibly difficult paths—but they are not walking them alone.
We’d love for you to keep both families in your thoughts and prayers 🤍
Be on the lookout tomorrow as we share our 2026 event lineup, with registration for our first event—Bowling for a Cause on April 26th—opening on Wednesday.
