URGENT APPEAL: ATTORNEY NEEDED TO HELP A GRIEVING FAMILY

Mothers Against Murder (MAM) is urgently seeking a compassionate California attorney who is willing and available to help us stand for victims' rights, the family of 18-year-old, who was tragically killed.

This is an extraordinarily painful situation that unfortunately is ending up in probate court.

Victim and his family grew up in the Catholic faith.

The Father wants to have a traditional Catholic burial—a permanent place where he, his family and friends visit the victim, pray for him, and continue to grieve.

The Mother wants cremation.

The father was prepared to work toward a peaceful compromise with the Mother. He initially accepted cremation, if there could be an appropriate burial of ashes and a permanent place for the family to visit him.

Instead, an ex-parte application will be filed tomorrow by Mother's attorney seeking a court order requiring cremation.

The father and grandparents are devastated and feel overwhelmed by a legal process they didn't expect or wish to face while grieving the violent death.

The Father needs an attorney who understands family law, probate/decedent disposition issues, or related California law, and ideally, someone who understands the importance of Catholic burial traditions and the profound emotional significance of having a permanent place to lay a loved one to rest.

We have been working directly with this family, providing advocacy, emotional support, guidance, and assistance navigating systems that have been overwhelming them since this tragic incident. We are willing to cover a reasonable attorney fee to stand with our client in court.

This Father should not have to face a legal battle alone, neither should he go into further debt simply because he cannot afford an attorney. The cost of burial the Father contracted for is more than $32,000.

We are appealing to the legal community—not for a fight, but for fairness, compassion, and an opportunity for this family to be heard.

If you are a California attorney with relevant experience who may be willing to help us, please contact me directly at (650) 248-9529. Mothers Against Murder - MAM is willing to cover reasonable legal cost.

Time is extremely limited. Ex-Parte filed tomorrow means court on Thursday.

The 18-year-old deserves to be laid to rest with dignity. His mother deserves compassion and the right to be heard, no different than his father and the grandparent who have always been intimately involved in their grandchildren's lives. In fact, the family lived with the grandparents for the first 16 years, until the parents divorced. The 18-year-old was back living with his father and grandparents when this tragic incident happened.

$33 Million Jury Verdict. Not Enough!! Greg was an audio engineer at Dolby Laboratories and Grace, an Exec. at Google. Their total earnings over 1.5 Million a year. Then, how much is love, affection, guidance and support of two loving parents worth to the twin girls.

“This case has never been about money,” Margaret Petros, an advocate for the victims’ family, said in a statement. “It has always been about accountability, protecting victims’ rights, and ensuring these two young children have a voice. Behind every courtroom file is a family whose lives have been permanently changed.”

The racers hit speeds of 80 to 100 mph on El Camino Real before the Mercedes-Benz E55 slammed into the victims’ Chevrolet Bolt, the suit said.

$33,000,000 Verdict was just announced by the Jury.

This is a Public Education. Teach your children to safely share the road when driving. Car used as a weapon has consequences.

Respect for the Judge, the Jury, Justice Attorneys and all who emotionally supported the family ⚖

Beloved husband and wife, Grace Spiridon and Greg Ammen, were killed in an instant when illegal street racing turned a public roadway into a racetrack.

Their two seven-year-old daughters survived the crash, physically injured and forever traumatized after witnessing the deaths of both parents.

In one tragic moment, these children lost not only the love, guidance, and security of their mother and father, but also more than $1.5 million in annual family income that would have provided for their future.

Today at 9:00 a.m., their family begins a civil wrongful death jury trial in San Mateo County.

We hope our community will stand with this family—not only in support of justice, but to remind everyone that illegal street racing, reckless driving, and excessive speed destroy innocent lives.

If sharing Grace and Greg's story causes even one driver to slow down or reconsider dangerous choices behind the wheel, their legacy may help spare another family from unimaginable heartbreak.

Please keep this family in your thoughts as we continue to advocate for their right in pursuit of justice.

My comments from 2 days ago have been hidden or removed by the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office. I am concerned that this raises important First Amendment issues regarding a government-operated social media platform. I just reposted my comments again. Check it out.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office operates under the highest ethical and professional standards. In every case we handle, we remain completely dedicated to protecting victims' rights and strictly upholding the provisions of Marsy’s Law.

In 2022, our office commenced a jury trial where Oscar Munoz was charged with murder. The trial resulted in a hung jury with a majority of the jurors voting for acquittal.

After reviewing the evidence and the testimony, our office accepted a plea to Child Abuse with Great Bodily Injury with a sentence of 9 years in State Prison.

The plea will count as a strike under California’s “Three Strikes Law”.
Before the entry of plea on July 9th, our office conferred with the victim’s family and advised them of the intended resolution.

The entire office understands and deeply shares in the community’s profound grief during this unimaginably difficult time. The death of young Moses is a tragedy for which this office is committed to achieving justice.
