Helping Paws and Claws will provide assistance thru resources and education to organizations and individuals that show compassion for all animals as exemplified by and in memory of Laura Morin. All efforts of board members, volunteers, and contractors will work towards the Mission and Goals/Activities as specified below:
• Support the rescue, and care, of animals (both domestic and wild) in need.


• Support the adoption of rescued domestic animals into appropriate homes.
• To provide education about responsible pet ownership, overpopulation, proper care, and husbandry.
• To provide education about common wildlife issues, resources, and humane solutions.
• Assist with spay and neuter resources for animals as appropriate.
• Assist with resources for TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral animals.
• Assist individuals and organizations with catastrophic medical care for animals.
• Engage and support the public, and other organizations, in helping both domestic and wild animals.
• Partner with other animal organizations in support of our mutual missions.
• Provide animal-related disaster assistance, education, and training.

A couple of years ago we bought a couple of nets for Dave Cook and the Sierra Wildlife Rescue fawn team. Recently Dave reached out and said they could use some replacements. We quickly ordered 10 nets for the team. Dave sent photos, the nets were put to use within days. Thank you to the fawn team for all the work you for.

Last week we were able to present Aimee Staats with some specialized equipment for her rescue work with wildlife. The ArmOR Hand Animal Handling Gloves by Dr. Laura Catena will definitely offer protection when dealing with the wildlife and domestic too. We were also able to get her a special type of trap to assist with the capture at some of those more difficult calls. Of course a gas card and Helping Paws and Claws swag are always welcomed.
We appreciate the work that Aimee and so many others do.

We attended Izzy’s Animal Rescue Festival on Sunday. Had the opportunity to meet lots of rescue volunteers and passed out 20 gas cards. We also provided Sierra Wildlife Rescue with a pair of The ArmOR Hand Animal Handling Gloves by Dr. Laura Catena that the raptor team will use. There were so many great rescue groups there sharing information about what they do.
