Let’s choose a culture of repair and reuse where the things we already have are valued, cared for, and kept in use.
Our seasonal Fixit Clinics are one way we bring that idea to life. At our last clinic, 88 community members brought in more than 100 items and worked alongside volunteer fixers to give them another chance. Together we repaired 74 items and kept 680 pounds out of the waste stream!
Now we’re getting ready to do it all again on November 15! Bring something that needs a little love and work alongside a fixer to troubleshoot it. Or join us as a volunteer fixer and help someone else figure out what might be possible.
You don’t need to be an expert to volunteer. Fixit Clinics are all about leaning into your curiosity, opening things up, sharing what you know, and learning together along the way.

P.S. For the first time, there will be drop-off stations for recycling for the following items:
· Batteries - rechargeable and single-use, no car batteries (recycled through WM and Staples)
· Eyeglasses, sunglasses, and hearing aids (Lions Club Int’l “Recycle for Sight”)
· W**e corks (Total W**e & More, “ReCork”)
· Toner and ink cartridges (Staples)
