Today, Brothers Michael Stemage (MX21), Omar Bell-Gonzalez (MX23), and Emmanuel Okereke (MX24) celebrated the culmination of Cohort 3 of the Mayor’s Long Beach Public Service Corps Fellowship Program! 🏛️🤙🏾
The Long Beach Public Service Corps is a yearlong paid fellowship program where college seniors and recent graduates are embedded within City departments and provided with hands-on experience in local public service.

Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office
As the first LBPSC Fellow to serve in the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office, Bro. Stemage assisted victims of crime with the U-Visa process, supported criminal trial preparation and proceedings, and contributed to expungement and reentry initiatives serving the Long Beach community. He also supported legal and administrative projects across the office.
Bro. Omar Bell-Gonzalez (MX23)
Legislative Department: Council District 8
Bro. Bell-Gonzalez served in the Legislative Department for Councilwoman Tunua Thrash-Ntuk, contributing to policy research, developing rapid-response resources for immigrant families, engaging with constituents, supporting community outreach, assisting with community events, and participating in City Council item debriefs.
Bro. Emmanuel Okereke (MX24)
Health and Human Services Department, Public Health Emergency Management Division
Bro. Okereke supported Health Department capacity-building efforts to serve the Long Beach community during public health emergencies, while contributing to health program management, coordination, and emergency preparedness efforts.
