4-H is a non-formal educational program for youth ages 9 to 18. We also have programming for "cloverbuds" which are youth ages 5-8. The purpose of 4-H is to give youth "hands-on" learning experiences that will teach them practical skills and life skills. These skills h

elp them to become capable, self-reliant adults. Youth Can Learn About...
Woodworking, computers, sewing, cooking, being a wise shopper, fashion, entertainment, weather, electricity, baby sitting, geology, photography, small engines, citizenship, home furnishings, veterinary science, entomology, gardening, creative crafts, food and nutrition, health, forestry, career exploration and a whole lot more!

This time, we’re shining the spotlight on Allison Brummett! 💚🍀
4-H is about so much more than projects and competitions—it’s about building confidence, making connections, discovering new passions, and creating memories that last a lifetime. Allison is a wonderful example of the opportunities 4-H can provide!

📢 Attention 4-H Youth & Families!

If you are a 4-H youth who plans to attend the KY State Fair with an exhibit or animal from the Laurel County Fair, we have tickets available at the Laurel County Extension Office.

🎟️ Ticket Distribution:

* Each 4-H youth participant will receive 1 ticket.
* Each family will receive 1 adult ticket.

👉 Please note: The adult ticket is one per family—not one per child. For example, a family with three participating 4-H youth will receive 3 youth tickets + 1 adult ticket.

Please stop by the Laurel County Extension Office to pick up your tickets!

County Fair projects are now ready for pick-up at the Extension Office! 🎉

Stop by any day this week between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to pick up your entries.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our 4-H members for sharing your incredible talents, creativity, and hard work with our community. We are so proud of each and every one of you and all that you accomplished at this year's County Fair! 💚🍀

🐖🐐🐄 Congratulations to all of our 4-H & FFA exhibitors! 🎉

What a fantastic morning at the Laurel County Ag Fair! We are so proud of every young person who participated in the Hog, Dairy Goat, and Pen Heifer Shows.

Your countless hours of hard work, early mornings, dedication, and commitment to caring for your animals were on full display in the show ring today. Whether you brought home a ribbon or simply gained valuable experience, you should be proud of everything you've accomplished.

Thank you to our families, volunteers, judges, and supporters who help make these shows possible. Your encouragement helps our youth grow into confident, hardworking leaders.

Our Laurel County Ag Fair judging clinics and Skill -A - Thon were a huge success! 🐓🐇🐄

A big shoutout to our incredible 4-H and FFA youth for their dedication and hard work as they sharpened their skills in Poultry showmanship, Rabbit showmanship, Livestock Judging, and Skill-a-thon. These clinics gave participants the opportunity to build confidence, expand their knowledge, and prepare for competition at the fair.

We're proud of the time, effort, and enthusiasm each young person brought to these clinics. Your commitment to learning and growing in agriculture is inspiring, and we can't wait to see you put your skills to the test at the Laurel County Ag Fair!
