Important information pertaining to our new Dog Club!

Good afternoon, registered 4-H Dog Club Families!

We are excited to kick off our first 4-H Dog Club meeting tonight, October 15, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at the Laurel County Cooperative Extension Office!

As you prepare for tonight’s meeting, please remember the following requirements for bringing your dog:

• All dogs must be on a leash and wearing a secure collar or harness.
• Leashes should be approximately 4–6 feet long.
• Please DO NOT bring a retractable/Flexi-style leash.

During tonight’s meeting, members will get started with the club, meet their leaders and fellow members, and begin learning about responsible dog ownership and working safely with their dogs. Members will also receive a Dog Owner’s Pledge and information that will help guide them as they participate in the club.

We know this first meeting is beginning a little earlier than the originally announced October 22 start date, so we completely understand if your family already has plans and cannot attend tonight.

We are excited to get the 4-H Dog Club started and look forward to a fun year of learning with our members and their dogs!

*This club has an age requirement (9-18) and a cap on it , so you must be registered and approved on 4-H online to attend.

Attention: Along with the Teen Club and Rabbit Club, our Dog Club will also be meeting tonight from 6:30- 8 pm! Also, a reminder to NOT Bring your Rabbits to tonight’s meeting with the Rabbit Club. Look for a post following this one that will outline some rules for the Dog Club tonight! Thank you!

Today we're celebrating the volunteers who make 4-H possible. Their time, talents, and dedication create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and discover their potential. Whether they're leading clubs, judging contests, mentoring youth, or lending a helping hand behind the scenes, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

In 4-H, we believe one of the best ways to say "thank you" is by giving back. Guided by the 4-H Pledge, we encourage youth to put their hands to larger service by making a difference in their clubs, communities, country, and world. Through service and gratitude, we honor those who invest in us while creating a positive impact for others.

🍀 Happy National 4-H Week! 🍀

We’re excited to celebrate National 4-H Week and even more excited about everything the upcoming 4-H year has in store!

As we kick off another great year, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our 4-H Open House! It was wonderful seeing so many families, familiar faces, and new faces ready to see what 4-H has to offer. 💚

We also want to give a special thank you to all of our club leaders and volunteers who helped make the night such a success. Our 4-H program wouldn’t be possible without the time, dedication, and support you give to our youth throughout the year.

We can’t wait to see what this year brings! Here’s to another year of learning, leading, growing, and making the best better! 🍀
