Calculating the range is another way to describe the information in a set of numbers. It's the difference between the highest and lowest numbers in the data set. In everyday life, we often discuss the range of temperatures in a week, prices for gas, and salaries one might expect to earn in a career. Simply identify the biggest number and lowest number and subtract. Try the 5 range questions at the bottom of this webpage: https://mathgoodies.com/lessons/range/

Before earning his GED in 2024, Matthew says he was “adrift in mediocrity.” It was his wife who inspired him to take the leap—not only to complete his GED, but also to pursue college. The hardest part? Simply getting started, he said. But once he did, everything went smoothly.
Since earning his GED, he's started a new job and is attending college full-time.
"For anyone else who’s considering seeking their GED, just do it! You’re never going to regret it,” Matthew said.
Congratulations, again, Matthew! We're cheering you on as you continue to celebrate your successes.

Try out this GED practice question. Yesterday's Facebook post explained the definition of one way math can be labeled "undefined." Look back at that post for the key to answering this sample question.
The answer will be below .....................
-------
Answer: -5
WHY? -5 substituted for x would turn the bottom of this fraction into a zero - which makes it undefined.
