The Closet is growing, and we can't do it alone.

Whether you can give an hour a month, help once a week, or volunteer whenever your schedule allows, every helping hand makes a difference for local children in need.

We have several projects and events coming up, including washing donated jackets collected from local schools and our annual clothing sorting event—both of which require many volunteers to make possible.

Moms, grandmas, retirees, students, church groups, or anyone looking for a meaningful way to serve, we would love to have you join us. A few hours of your time may seem small, but to a child receiving warm clothes, it can mean everything. ❤️

The children we serve depend on the generosity of this community, and behind every child who receives clothing is a volunteer who made it happen.

His Children’s Clothes Closet is looking for caring hearts and helping hands to join our mission of serving local children in need.

From sorting donations, washing lost and found clothes in your home, or even assisting at community events — every volunteer makes a difference. Even a few hours of your time can help a child feel loved, confident, and cared for.

We are especially looking for help with:
• Sorting and organizing donations at the closet
• Washing and preparing clothing in your own home
• Assisting at the closet
• Helping at outreach events and donation drives

If you’ve been looking for yourself or looking for a way to get your kids involved with giving back to the community, this is a beautiful way to serve local children and families together.

Come out and visit us at the Non-Profit Fair to learn more about what we do, connect with our team, and see how you can get involved. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, donate, or simply learn more, we’d love to meet you!

This Saturday, April 25, after the Love Lodi volunteer projects wrap up, head back to Hutchins Street Square from 12–2pm for the Community Picnic & Non-Profit Fair.

Enjoy a FREE hamburger lunch (yes… we’ve heard Lockeford sausages will be there), live music, face painting, activities, and connect with 26 incredible local non-profits making a difference in our city.

✨ It’s National Volunteer Week! ✨

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make the closet possible—our volunteers.

Because of you our kids are clothed with dignity, and our community feels a little more hope. Every rack organized, every bag sorted, every smile shared… it all matters more than you know.

So far this year, YOU have helped us serve over 100 children and distribute thousands of pounds of clothing. That impact starts with your generosity and your time.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for showing up, loving big, and being the hands and feet behind this mission. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

✝️ Good Friday ✝️
Today we remember the depth of Jesus’ love… a love so great He gave everything for us.
A sacrifice made not out of obligation, but out of mercy, grace, and a desire to bring hope to a broken world.

On this day, our hearts are humbled. And we are reminded that even in the darkest moments, love still shows up.
It’s that same love that calls us to care for one another—to see a need and meet it, to serve with compassion, and to give with open hands.

Thank you for being part of this mission… for helping us share that love with every child and family who we serve. 💛

Because of YOU, lives are being changed. 💛

We are so incredibly grateful for the continued generosity of our donors and supporters who make it possible for us to serve the kids in our community. Every bag donated, every item given, and every share truly makes a difference.

Here’s a quick look at what you’ve helped us accomplish so far in 2026:
✨ 118 kids served (up 36% from this time last year!)
✨ 2,889 pounds of clothing distributed (up 16% year over year!)

At this same point in 2025, we had reached 87 children and distributed 2,483 pounds of clothing — and thanks to your kindness, we’ve already gone beyond that.
This isn’t just about numbers — it’s about confidence, dignity, and showing our kids that they are cared for and supported.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to show up, give generously, and believe in this mission. We couldn’t do this without you. 💕

🌸 Spring Cleaning with a Purpose 🌸
As you start going through closets this season, we invite you to spring clean with intention 💛

Those clothes your kids outgrew, items that no longer fit, or pieces your family didn’t wear this past year? It can make a huge difference for a child in need.
At the closet, we serve children ages 0–18, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Right now, we are especially in need of boys, men’s and girls’ clothing of all sizes.

✨ March is already shaping up to be a record-breaking month for the number of children we’re serving—and our shelves are emptying quickly.
If you’re sorting through your home, please consider setting aside clean, gently used or new items to donate.
Every bag of clothing helps us continue to show up for these kids 💙
