💚 A BEAUTIFUL SMILE, A STRONG SPIRIT, AND A HEART THAT NEVER STOPS GIVING! 💚

Today, YMO – Your Kidney, My Kidney, Our Kidney would like to share the story of someone very special to our community, our dear friend Jimmy. 💚

Jimmy and his brothers have always been wonderful volunteers through the Lodi Chamber of Commerce and more, generously giving their time and lending a helping hand whenever our community needed them.

Today, Jimmy is facing one of the biggest challenges of his own life.

He is battling **End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)** and is currently undergoing dialysis while hoping for a life-saving kidney transplant. He has been in and out of the hospital, facing many difficult days, but despite everything, he still manages to greet us with that beautiful smile. ❤️

We are grateful that Jimmy is one of YMO’s financial assistance recipients. Although our contribution may be small, we hope it has brought him a little comfort and peace of mind during this difficult journey, reminding him that he is not alone.”

We want to give a special thank you to his brother **Mano**, who continues to stand by his side, and to the wonderful friends who have been visiting, checking on him, and showing their love and support. Your kindness and friendship mean more than words can express.

At YMO, we understand that kidney disease doesn't just affect the patient. It affects the entire family emotionally, physically, and financially. Behind every patient is a story of courage, sacrifice, uncertainty, and hope.

Jimmy's journey is a reminder of why YMO exists. We may not be able to take away the pain or challenges that kidney patients face, but **if we can ease even a small part of their burden, bring them comfort, or simply remind them that someone cares, then we are making a difference.**

🙏 Jimmy is in need of a kidney transplant, and a living donor could give him a second chance at life. We encourage everyone to learn more about living kidney donation and the incredible gift of life.

100 Nurture Support Kits — ASSEMBLED!

Today, YMO was blessed with an amazing group of volunteers who came together to assemble 100 Nurture Support Kits for local dialysis patients. Each kit will be delivered to a dialysis center to remind patients that they are seen, supported, and cared for.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our wonderful partners and volunteers from Lodi Omega Nu, Lodi Eagles, and Oak Valley Community Bank for opening your conference room and helping us make this special project possible.

It truly takes a community to make a difference, and we are so grateful for each of you who continues to stand alongside YMO and our kidney community. 🫶🏼

💚 Nurture Support Kit Assembly Day! 💚

Tomorrow, YMO will be gathering with amazing community partners to assemble 100 Nurture Support Kits for local dialysis patients. 🫶🏼

A heartfelt thank you to Lodi Omega Nu, Lodi Eagles, and Junior League of San Joaquin for partnering with YMO this year to make our Nurture Support Kits possible. Your generosity, time, and commitment to our kidney community mean so much to us!

Each kit is filled with comfort items and a simple reminder to every patient that they are seen, supported, and cared for throughout their kidney journey. 💚

We are grateful for partnerships like these that allow us to continue nurturing hope, providing comfort, and reminding patients that they are not alone.

❤️ SHARING STORY ❤️

Today, YMO is sharing our dear friend, Kevin and Lynn!

Kevin is living with kidney failure, receiving dialysis, and waiting for a kidney transplant. He is opening his heart and sharing his journey in hopes of reaching someone who may be willing to explore becoming a living kidney donor.

Beside him through it all is his wife, Lynn. ❤️ A retired emergency nurse, Lynn has spent her career caring for others, and today she is Kevin’s strongest advocate. While her medical experience gives her an understanding of what they are facing, being on the other side—as a wife watching someone she loves go through kidney failure and dialysis—is a journey of its own.

Together, they are navigating appointments, questions, uncertainty, and the everyday challenges that come with this journey.

Kevin understands that living donation is an incredibly personal decision. There is no pressure or expectation—just an invitation to learn more. A donor does not have to be a family member, and even if someone isn’t a direct match, options such as paired kidney exchange may be available.

Ask about the Living Donor Program and let them know you are interested in learning more about donating to Kevin. Their team can explain the process and answer your questions. Simply inquiring does not mean you are committing to donate.
