💚 ** This Is What Your Support Makes Possible. ** 💚
To everyone who supported YMO’s **One Kidney, One Community Fundraiser**—whether you purchased a ticket, became a sponsor, donated a raffle basket or dessert, volunteered, shared our event, or simply showed up for our kidney community—**thank you.**
Because of your generosity, we are able to turn the funds raised into real help for kidney patients and families who need it.
Today, we want to share a little about **Johanna**, one of the kidney patients YMO is honored to support.
Johanna has been battling **end-stage renal disease for a little over two years**. Before becoming ill, she worked cleaning homes to help support her family while her husband worked seasonal jobs in the fields. Together, they did everything they could to provide for their children of 5.
Dialysis has changed so much for Johanna. In the beginning, she tried to take her kidney journey one day at a time, but lately her body has been having a harder time. Dialysis often leaves her exhausted and not feeling well, making it difficult for her to continue working.
With only one limited and seasonal income, everyday expenses have become harder to manage—rent, groceries, bills, transportation, and unexpected car repairs.
For many of us, a car repair or an unexpected expense is frustrating, but manageable. For a family already choosing how to stretch every dollar, **one unexpected bill can put everything else behind.**
Because of **YOUR generosity**, YMO was able to step in and help Johanna and her family with **rent and groceries**, giving them a little breathing room over the next month or two while she continues focusing on her health and dialysis.
This is why our community means so much to YMO. 💚
Because when we come together, we can ease a little of the burden and bring hope when it’s needed most.
Because of you, we can continue making a meaningful difference for kidney patients and their families. 💚
We may not be able to take away Johanna’s kidney disease, but together, we can make sure she and other kidney patients know they do not have to face every burden alone.
**From Johanna and her family, and from all of us at YMO—thank you for helping us turn compassion into action. **
One Kidney. One Community. Together, we give hope. 💚
