💚 ** This Is What Your Support Makes Possible. ** 💚

To everyone who supported YMO’s **One Kidney, One Community Fundraiser**—whether you purchased a ticket, became a sponsor, donated a raffle basket or dessert, volunteered, shared our event, or simply showed up for our kidney community—**thank you.**

Because of your generosity, we are able to turn the funds raised into real help for kidney patients and families who need it.

Today, we want to share a little about **Johanna**, one of the kidney patients YMO is honored to support.

Johanna has been battling **end-stage renal disease for a little over two years**. Before becoming ill, she worked cleaning homes to help support her family while her husband worked seasonal jobs in the fields. Together, they did everything they could to provide for their children of 5.

Dialysis has changed so much for Johanna. In the beginning, she tried to take her kidney journey one day at a time, but lately her body has been having a harder time. Dialysis often leaves her exhausted and not feeling well, making it difficult for her to continue working.

With only one limited and seasonal income, everyday expenses have become harder to manage—rent, groceries, bills, transportation, and unexpected car repairs.

For many of us, a car repair or an unexpected expense is frustrating, but manageable. For a family already choosing how to stretch every dollar, **one unexpected bill can put everything else behind.**

Because of **YOUR generosity**, YMO was able to step in and help Johanna and her family with **rent and groceries**, giving them a little breathing room over the next month or two while she continues focusing on her health and dialysis.

This is why our community means so much to YMO. 💚
Because when we come together, we can ease a little of the burden and bring hope when it’s needed most.
Because of you, we can continue making a meaningful difference for kidney patients and their families. 💚

We may not be able to take away Johanna’s kidney disease, but together, we can make sure she and other kidney patients know they do not have to face every burden alone.

**From Johanna and her family, and from all of us at YMO—thank you for helping us turn compassion into action. **

One Kidney. One Community. Together, we give hope. 💚

💙 WELCOME TO THE YMO FAMILY, MARIANO & DELIA! 💙

Today, we’re honored to introduce the newest members of our YMO family, Mr. Mariano and his wife, Delia. 🤝

Just a couple of weeks ago, Mariano began a new chapter in his life after being diagnosed with kidney disease and starting dialysis. While this journey is new, Mariano is facing it with something powerful — faith, positivity, and hope. 🙏

Having lost several loved ones to kidney disease, Mariano understands how serious this disease can be. But rather than allowing fear to take over, he is choosing to learn, connect, and keep moving forward. He wants to learn more about kidney disease, connect with fellow kidney patients, and share his experiences with others who may be walking the same path.

Most importantly, Mariano continues to believe that he will be okay. ❤️ His faith remains strong, and he still wants to serve his church, support his community, and help others along the way.

That’s what makes the YMO family so special — we don’t walk this journey alone. We learn from one another, encourage one another, and remind each other that there is still hope beyond a diagnosis.

Welcome, Mariano & Delia. We’re grateful to have you with us! 💙

Together, we learn. Together, we support. Together, we keep moving forward. 🙏💪

Today’s Solo Kidney Club Support Group meeting was filled with so many emotions. ❤️

We had the beautiful opportunity to welcome new family members, share stories, and hear about a successful transplant—a reminder that even in the hardest moments, there can be hope on the other side.

We also heard about the emotional impact of getting to dialysis: the fear, the uncertainty, the worries, the anxiety, and all the “what ifs.” And those emotions don’t affect just the person going through dialysis—they touch the entire family. Loved ones worry, caregivers carry their own fears, and everyone wonders what the future will look like.

That’s why YMO is here.
We are here to hear you, hold space for you, walk beside you, and remind you that you are not alone. We celebrate the victories, sit with you through the difficult days, and connect families who truly understand what this journey feels like.

To our new members—welcome to the family. 🤍
To those still waiting, fighting, healing, or wondering what comes next—we see you, we hear you, and we’re here with you.

No one has to walk this journey alone. 🫶🏽💚

This morning was a busy and productive start for YMO! 🙌

We kicked things off with a great meeting with the Lodi Nonprofit Alliance leadership, sharing ideas and exploring ways we can continue strengthening our community together.

I also had the pleasure of meeting with local business owner Mr. Bill 96, who shared the incredible story of his family and Wright Motors Marine, a family business dating back to 1921. Hearing how he has carried on the family tradition was truly inspiring. 👏

We also met with our local jeweler, Moka by Sarai, to brainstorm potential projects and opportunities for collaboration with YMO. 💡🤝

A busy morning filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring stories, and new possibilities. Just like the train in this video—YMO is moving forward! 🚂➡️

Building connections. Supporting our community. Turning ideas into action.

And we’re just getting started! 🚀

💚 Don't Ignore a Small Cut—Your Health Matters

A small cut, scrape, or blister may not seem like a big deal, but for people living with kidney disease, diabetes, or a weakened immune system, even a minor wound can become infected if it's not properly cared for.

Simple steps can make a big difference:
✔️ Wash the area gently with soap and water.
✔️ Keep it clean and covered.
✔️ Check it daily for redness, swelling, warmth, drainage, or increasing pain.
✔️ Contact your healthcare provider if the wound isn't healing or if you notice signs of infection.

For those on dialysis or living with diabetes, healing may take longer, making early care especially important.

Remember, taking a few minutes to care for a small wound today could help prevent more serious complications tomorrow.

💚 Your health is worth it. Take care of yourself, and encourage your loved ones to do the same.
