The Angie Ferrero Memorial Scholarship applications are now open through April 1st. High schools have been sent the scholarship application packages. The Lodi Sister City Committee was honored to host the 46 Annual Northern California Sister Cities Sister Cities International Northern California Chapter conference on Saturday, October 28th. A very special thank you to Mr. Yo Osumi, Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and Dr. Ricki Garrett, Sister Cities International for attending. We were able to send our guests home with some fun goodie bags including generous donations from Lodi Wine, Lodi Chamber of Commerce, Visit Lodi, Bokisch Vineyards, Michael David Winery and Vino Farms along with locally grown almonds and walnuts from the Oye and Kautz orchards. Lunch time entertainment was the amazing Yukiko Matsuyama. Thank you everyone for spending the day in Livable, Lovable, Lodi!! We hope to have everyone back again soon!

Welcome to the Lodi Sister City Committee page! Lodi has two Sister Cities - Kofu, Japan and Lodi, Italy. Our committee was established in 1961. A brief school scrapbook exchange took place with Lodi, Italy, in 1958 on the occasion of the Italian city's 800th year, a more active relationship with Kofu, Japan began in 1964, when Lodi representatives went to Kofu for the city's 75th anniversary. Since then, gifts of Tokay grapevines have been sent to Kofu; a miniature shrine and a granite marker and cherry trees for Kofu Park were gifted to us; a student art exchange with Lodi, Italy; and visits and letters to and from both cities have marked our decades long relationships.

The Sister City Committee meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in attending and getting involved, please email us at [email protected].
