Do you like having art in your community? Do you like when sometimes that art is FREE?
If you do (of course you do, you’re here, right?) then consider donating to the Lodi Arts Foundation today, for the 209 Gives fundraiser.
The Arts Foundation will use your donation to do all sorts of amazing things that empower artists and foster creativity in our community.
Things like the Art Hop, a free arts event where WE pay artists to show up for you - you might hear more about that in another of our videos today.
We also organize a more “grown up” art event that we call our Art Salons - they’re held in the evening and feature two visual artists who display their work while you get to vibe to a musical artist for the night - these events aren’t free, but the cost is affordable and every penny goes back into your community via the foundation.
And we also host regular artist meetings; these are meetings where artists of all kinds come together to meet one another, talk about what they’re working on, and dream up new projects to work on together. In fact, you may already have heard of one of our spinoff projects, the Lodi Open Studios Tour, which is gearing up now for their October event.
