This Saturday, August 29th from 11am-4pm, join us for the Windows of Imagination Youth Art Show at Lodi Adopt-a-Child!! This event is a special collaboration between Lodi Adopt-a-Child, Community Partnership for Families, and the Lodi Arts Foundation to give local kids an opportunity to learn from local artists during two drawing workshops we held over the last month. Come see all the finalists before a winners are chosen to have their art featured on the windows of the Lodi-Adopt-a-Child building at 100 E Pine St!

We have been so proud to be a part of this collaboration and watch so many young artists grow! 👏

Artist Bio: My work explores the space between realism and symbolism through portraiture and dreamlike imagery. Influenced by Renaissance painting, particularly the grace and poetry of Sandro Botticelli, as well as the psychological intensity of Frida Kahlo and the surreal imagination of Salvador Dalí, I create paintings that merge technical realism with symbolic narratives.⁠

The Lodi Art Hop Night Market is this Saturday, August 8th at from 5-9pm! Come join the Lodi Arts Foundation for an evening of craft, culture, and community as we grow the impact of Arts & Culture in Lodi. 🤘

The Lodi Art Hop is an event held every other month from April until October, produced by the Lodi Arts Foundation in partnership with the City of Lodi and Lodi Arts Commission. Every August, we partner with Idol Beer Works for a special Art Hop Night Market to beat the heat and bring the Art Hop on the road! Every artist participating in the Lodi Art Hop is compensated for attending, no artists have paid to be involved in this event and that's a fact we're VERY proud of! Artists are often the unsung heroes of a thriving community and the Lodi Arts Foundation is proud to create opportunities for art & artists to thrive here in Lodi. Students grades 3-12 are welcomed to submit art pieces for our Windows of Imagination Children's Art Show - theme: What is your superpower and how would you use it to help family, friends and the community. Selected pieces of art will become public art in our windows at 100 E. Pine! Workshop attendance is NOT required to submit art.

Earlier this month, Lodi Arts Foundation collaborated with Lodi Adopt a Child and Community Partnership for Families to host a drawing workshop that helped kids participating in the Windows of Imagination Art Show (coming up on August 28th) begin to craft their submissions.

This art show is open to all students 3rd-12th grade. Workshops are open to all, $10 donation suggested (free to clients of Community Partnership for Families). Submissions are due August 19th. There will be another workshop on Saturday, August 8th for any artist who wants to join us! Please visit lodiadoptachild.org to learn more, sign up, and submit art. 🖼️

Artist Bio: I am an artist working in a wide range of mediums, selling my handmade art and jewelry in vendor events around the Bay Area. My business, For Aesthetic Value, has provided me with countless opportunities to connect with my community over art. Besides selling in person at events, I also sell online through my website and create commissions, from the smallest jewelry piece to large murals. I love making unique pieces that allow my customers to feel free to express themselves. My specialty is animal paintings and I love creating pet portraits for my customers, from bright fun colorful ones to super realistic depictions.
