On Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming this adorable doll of a dog, Miss Dolly to one of our foster homes from CACC!

Getting her to us was the result of a lot of collaboration, driven by love and concern for a dog who was quote literally thrown away. Dolly was rescued after being left without food and water on a porch for approximately five days. Despite being in pretty rough shape, she is so happy, sweet, and a very well-behaved middle-aged lady. She is currently soaking up the high life in her foster home while she recovers from suspected dog-bite wounds to her head and face, severe GI distress following ingestion of foreign inedible material, and works on regaining weight.

We will be sure to post updates on her progress, but in the meantime, check-out this happy girl enjoying the first days of her new, amazing life! ❤️

Sparkletini Update! ✨️

A few words from her foster
“Over the last few weeks, there has been quite a transformation happening here. She started as a terrified, shut-down cat and slowly I'm seeing her sparkly personality. She is starting to play with toys, she loves watching the birds outside the window, and she has become very friendly. Sparkle is a cat who wants to be next to you and rubs for pets, but not necessarily be in your lap. She is still very hesitant of loud noises, new things (like the vacuum), being picked up, other cats, and definitely of my dogs, though none of this is super surprising given her history of surviving being thrown out an 8th floor window.

All that being said, she is ready to find her forever home! In a perfect world, I think she would do best in a calm, quieter home, with a family who is patient and kind, gives her space when she needs it, and is ready to take over the role of teaching her the world is good, people are kind, and how to cat! At only 9 months old, she has a long life ahead of her to enjoy!

Enjoy this video of Swayze and his current favorite human! (Although he loves his foster, he’s ready for his forever humans!) This guy is ridiculously loving and special. He’s also super smart! This guy has a mild form of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, meaning he has a little extra wobble in his step, but does all the typical cat things- minus jumping on the counters or furniture! CH kitties are the best- check out this guy and so many others on the Wish webpage 💙
