We are grateful for our energetic mascot. Michael Gwozdz definitely got down at The Nonessentials Nonprofit Launch Celebration & Fundraiser at Nik & Ivy Brewing. His quirky stage antics add an added element of fun and whimsy to all of our events.
Stay tuned!!! We are still taking donations & will be sharing the final total any day. If you would like to contribute please contact BCA at 630.849.3992. This money will help us with running higher quality charity events, pay for musicians & sound engineers and to help pay the government to become a 501c3 non for profit charitable organization.

Join us Sunday, June 28 as we celebrate the official nonprofit launch of The Nonessentials with an afternoon of live music at Nik & Ivy Brewing in Lockport.

Featuring performances by Cher Ven, Equals Duo, Mark W, Matt Strom, Blue?, and Elliott Krull, plus prize drawings, great food, and drinks.

Join The Nonessentials as we celebrate an incredible milestone : OFFICIALLY BECOMING A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION!!!!!!

What started during the 2020 pandemic as a small group of musicians coming together to help local causes has grown into a community-driven movement featuring more than 30 performers, raising over $20,000, and supporting more than a dozen local nonprofits along the way. Now we’re celebrating the next chapter with a special fundraiser at Nik & Ivy Brewing on Sunday, June 28th from 4-8 PM.

Come out for an unforgettable night of live music, raffles, food, drinks, and community, and help us continue using music to make a difference.

Today’s a reminder that even the smallest creatures make the biggest waves — and yeah, that includes our tiny, mighty shrimp 🦐💙
From keeping ocean ecosystems balanced to being a key part of the food chain, shrimp are kind of a big deal.

So today (and every day), let’s:
🌱 Reduce waste
🌊 Protect our waters
♻️ Make choices that help our oceans thrive

Check in with your loval brewery, they may be collecting the beer connectors to help reuse,reduce,recycle. 🍻

Because saving the planet isn’t just about the big stuff — it’s about protecting everything that calls it home.

Give a little love to the oceans today… and maybe pour one out (responsibly 😉) for our shrimp friends.
