What a fantastic ribbon-cutting ceremony! The Lockport Woman's Club had the honor of sponsoring a ROUTE 66 bench. Our featured artist, Kathleen Enright, created an amazing art piece bench that we are all so proud of! The ribbon cutting at City of Lockport, Illinois, Government Citysquare was so very awesome! Great food, great community, and great administration! Special thank you to Mayor Steven Streit and the city government; as well as, Wendy Streit for such an amazing city initiative!
Thank you to all the members who were in attendance! What a turnout! We love the camaraderie and sisterhood! 💥TOMORROW 💥Lockport Woman's Club proudly supports The Lockport Council of Arts, in partnership with the City of Lockport, Illinois, Government, to announce the official launch of Route 66: 100 Year Road Trip 🎉, a public art initiative celebrating the 100th anniversary of Historic Route 66!
Join us for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at City Hall, 222 E. 9th Street, where our sponsored bench artist, Kathleen Enright will feature her bench! 📍 Light refreshments will be served!

⭐ From Memorial Day through Labor Day, 23 custom-painted, car-shaped fiberglass benches will be displayed throughout historic Downtown Lockport, creating a fun and memorable way for residents and visitors to experience art, history, and community.

Come celebrate with us and get ready to cruise through Downtown Lockport this summer! 📸

Congratulations to Ethan Ferkaluk, Leah Mate, and Fatih Jones on being awarded the Lockport Woman’s Club 2026 Summer Camp Scholarships! 🎉 Ethan will attend the Michigan Tech Cyber Security Camp, while Leah and Fatih will attend the Smith Walbridge Drum Major Camp. We are proud to support these outstanding Porter students as they continue pursuing their talents, leadership, and future goals. 💙
