Good morning Resource Fans!!!

We are proud to announce our second Transformation Scholarship Recipient for 2026. Hailey Bird is a Lockport Township High School grad and will be attending Aurora University to study nursing. We ran into Hailey at our Annual Bicycle Sale and she shared her story, including being a shopper at our Pass It On Thrift Shop.

We congratulate Hailey on her success and wish her all the best in her studies.

Happy Sunday LRC Fans!!! What a weekend - here's a little recap.

First, thank you to the kind donor that shared their cookie jar collection! These generated quite the buzz, including shoppers lined up when the door opened. They're all gone, but the stories will live on and new people will enjoy them.

Second, thanks to everyone who came out to our Annual Christmas in July sale. We had Christmas music, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentines and more! We reduced the inventory by 30 tubs! Don't worry, we still have plenty and I'm sure we'll get more. A huge shoutout to our volunteers, Margie, Anne, Caleb, Yoli and new volunteer Jodi!

We even had an impromptu lemonade stand pop up across the street. This is a tradition we will definitely continue. Thanks to our friends in the strip for supporting our zaniness!

We ask that you now hold Fall-O-Ween themed donations until September 1 and Christmas until October 1. This allows us to manage space in the shop.
