Even though I am having a harder day, I need to focus on our next fundraiser so we can help others thru this nightmare. We donate all our proceeds to families struggling to pay for funerals or inpatient mental health treatment. To date we have donated over $17,000 to families for funeral expense and mental health inpatient treatment. Last year we weren't as successful as years prior so we really need our community to come together and help.

This is a fun run/walk on the trail at West Canada Valley Central School or if you want to run the track, that is available too. We wanted to be able to accommodate people with strollers so you are welcome to use them on the track as well(yes we got the schools permission). If you are a competitive runner, you can time yourself. The trail is set with some beautiful scenery and views of the West Canada.

The kids We Are Loved run, is a one mile run, and there will be signs and people to ensure the safety of all kids. You also have the option for the kids to run on the track as well.

Tomorrow is the last day to order a shirt with your registration and be able to pick it up. After tomorrow, you can still order a shirt but it will have to be shipped or we can meet. We have a new design with a great saying on the back for this year. Last years shirts that we still have in stock will be available to purchase at the event.

We really need basket donations so please consider donating something for this. Contact me Tracy at 315-360-3281 and we will meet up.

Our next support group meeting is this Wednesday May 27th, at 6pm at Herkimer ARC located at 350 South Washington Street in Herkimer.

If you’re unable to be there in person and would like to join by Zoom, please message for the link.

Anyone coping with a su***de loss is welcomed. You do not have to share or talk if you don’t want.

***if you feel overwhelmed or too nervous about walking into the group for the first time, reach out to me and I’ll greet you in the parking lot and we will walk in TOGETHER.

Miles for Meag Support Group is a peer support group made up of people who share a common loss, the death of someone they love by su***de. Grief can be complicated, especially when there are so many unanswered questions. Getting together with others that have experienced this type of loss can be reassuring. You learn from each other what grief looks like and how to work through it. There are no easy answers and there is no recipe but learning from each other can be comforting.

We are grateful for those that have stepped out of their comfort zone and joined a meeting and for those that are just in the beginning stages of thinking about joining a meeting. We realize that a group meeting is not for everyone. If you want to talk one on one, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. You are not alone.

Each year roughly 49,000 su***des happen in the United States. That's one su***de every 11 minutes.

To date Miles For Meag has donated over $17,000 to the community. These donations were for funeral expenses, inpatient treatment, and su***de prevention.

To do so we rely on our fundraising events. Our next one is 6/6/26 and we have moved the location to West Canada Valley Central School.

Please consider signing up for our Trail Fun Run or donate a basket for our basket auction. To sign up you can scan the QR code or go to https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Newport/MilesForMeag

Today would have been Meagan’s 27th birthday but she will forever be 22. Yesterday we did our annual road cleanup in Meag’s memory. It’s sad how people continue to litter. It’s a beautiful day today, please consider cleaning the roads in front of your house in her memory. Let’s make the world a better place.
