The Cornell University Dairy Science Club is holding an event for youth interested in exploring the Dairy Science opportunities at Cornell.

The day will start with two different farm tours, one to 5,000 cow dairy with a 100 Stall Rotary Parlor and the other of a Sheep Dairy Farm. The event will end with various student and faculty panels to give a overall image of life as a Dairy Science Student at Cornell University.

Registration closes October 1st and/or when 50 applicants apply.

REMINDER! We will be hosting a virtual 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl workshop series on Thursdays in February from 6:30PM-7:45PM.

Topics include:
February 3 - Calf & Heifer Care
February 10 - Reproduction
February 17 - Dairy Nutrition & Feeds
February 24 - Mastitis & Milk Quality

Programs will be a presentation by professionals in each area followed by a Kahoot! to practice your dairy bowl knowledge. You are welcome to attend one or all sessions (registration is only necessary once).

Oswego County 4-H is holding their annual Winter Round-Up on Saturday, February 12th with the option to spend overnight in the dormitory. The program will be held from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center.
This program is all about learning about horses, spending time with friends and meeting new people who share your love of horses! Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and thinking of everyone's safety we have reduced the number of spots to attend the program, so we encourage anyone who is interested to register as soon as possible.
Both members and chaperone need to register. Open to ages 8+

Herkimer County 4-H donated over 140 hand made Christmas cards to the Folts Home residents. The cards were made by 4-H members during the 4-H Member Recognition night and during the month of November and returned to the 4-H office to be delivered to Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer NY
