Happy Tuesday all!!! We’re starting to do some monthly artist shout outs to let everyone know what amazing creative beings exist right here in the Mohawk Valley, and we’re kicking it off with Lillian! Feast your eyes 👀🤩🫪🔥

Lillian Norris is a young artist based near Herkimer NY, and has received her A.S. degree in Art Studio from Herkimer College.
Lillian’s art stretches across multiple mediums, with her 2d work mostly being watercolors and pen, and her 3d work being compiled of cardboard, and whatever materials she has lying around.
Lillian uses her art as a way to communicate and show others worlds that live in her head. Her art often features places, people and creatures who exist in her subconscious.

Hope everyone has a good start to their week, and if it seems like it’s a long road to the weekend, we say just pretend it’s a Friday! Or, ya know, appreciate all the days of the week for all the different feels they bring! Without the Mondays, maybe Fridays wouldn’t even feel like Fridays!?!?!?

Well there’s our positive food for this week’s thought! I know, it’s a bit too early to think this deeply, but maybe let it simmer throughout the day when you find the old Monday blues creeping up!

We had a total blast at Cornhill Spring Fest! It was awesome to see such an amazing turnout in the community, and all of the organizations that came out to make this Fest pop!

Thank you to the Community Foundation for putting all this on! We’re really grateful to be a part of such a fun community gathering in Cornhill!!! And thank you to all who participated in TAT’s community portrait project! This will be an evolving portrait as we gather more and more voices of the Cornhill community and have them look in the mirror and ask “who do you see?”

So many beautiful, positive, and heartfelt good vibes today, not to mention the killer dance moves!!!! Shout out to D King for bringing the good tunes and getting people dancing in the streets!!! TAT couldn’t stop busting dorky moves if we tried, but why try not to bust a move when you’re having that much fun!?!

Sometimes you have to believe it before you can see it, before you can feel it, and before you can know it in your blood and bones to be true!!! Sometimes you have to believe in what seems utterly impossible and so far away and unattainable to understand that anything could happen, and that anything and everything is totally and entirely and completely a possibility!!!! Ya feel me!?!?!?!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for! TAT-CAT-URDAY is officially here! How do you celebrate this day of days you might ask!? It’s pretty simple really, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the day!

We hope it’s a 😎 cool one, and that you get to stick out your tongue and make a funny face just for fun, or just because you can, but it’s probably going to be fun either way, just sayin!

Why be just anyone when you can be you!? Out of all the countries in all the states in all the cities in all the towns in all the valleys in all the counties and communities and roundabouts, YOU walked into this one (whichever “this one” is for you)! My point is, you are a one of a kind, and however you got to where you are, whether by boat, or plane or train or car or on foot, you are YOU and no one else, and that is a real thing of beauty don’t ya think!? So today, and everyday, being you is always going to be easier than someone you are not. And maybe you’re still growing into you, you’re still becoming who you are truly meant to be!?!?! Well that’s most of us, and that’s yet another amazing thing about us human beings. We’re ever evolving, and meeting ourselves every day, every month, every year after year.

Happy Friday and be open to meeting yourself this weekend, because there’s no one quite like ya!

Side note: Be yourself unless you can be a Sasquatch, then obviously be a Sasquatch!! (Duh)

The potential for more positive space is all around us, and it starts with you! Whether you realize it or not you can have a big impact on someone’s day. You don’t have to be “positive” per say, but when you choose to be kind, when you make the choice to extend a little bit of gratitude to another human being, well that’s a pretty big Positive Thing! Those little acts of kindness along the way add up in a really big way, and make a really big impact on those around us and on our shared spaces.

So remember to do what you can to create some Positive Space for yourself, and for those around you! Thanks again to the Community Foundation for giving TAT the opportunity to create more Positive Space in communities!!!!
