The Rotary Club of Lincolnton had a fantastic meeting last week at the Gaston College Lincoln Campus !

Rotarians toured the Health Academy and learned about this innovative partnership between Gaston College, Lincoln County high schools, and Atrium Health Lincoln. The program is helping students prepare for careers in healthcare through hands-on learning experiences and college-level coursework.

One of the highlights was hearing directly from students about their experiences and future career goals. Their passion and dedication were truly inspiring!

Thank you to Gaston College and all the partners involved for investing in the future of healthcare in Lincoln County.

Today, the members of Rotary Club of Lincolnton pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our fallen heroes. Because of their selfless service, we enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we hold dear today.

As Rotarians, we are reminded that service and sacrifice make a lasting impact on our communities and our nation.

Matthew Smith, a junior at East Lincoln High School, continues to make Lincoln County proud through his outstanding work in the American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program. After earning a $500 award at the district level, Matthew has gone on to win the State of North Carolina competition. He will now represent North Carolina at the national championship this May, showcasing his knowledge of the U.S. Constitution on a national stage.

The 2027 Rotary International Convention will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from 26–30 June 2027 at the Fira de Barcelona.

We’re grateful to our members and partners in Barcelona for their enthusiasm in hosting our annual convention, which brings together people from around the world.

At the same time, we thank Dubai, our original 2027 host city, and Rotary members and leaders in the UAE for their commitment. We look forward to working with them on a future Rotary convention.

We're excited to gather this June in Taipei, and again in 2027 in Barcelona.
