Pet of the Week is brought to you by Natural Pet Hawaii and can be heard on Kauaʻi’s Kauai's KONG FM 93.5 Thursday mornings.

Who’s ready for a little extra sweetness in their life? Meet Pot Pie, a one-year-old Hound with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give!
Pot Pie may be a little shy when you first meet, but give her a little time and kindness, and she’ll start to come out of her shell. On her recent Field Trip, she warmed up quickly to her ‘ohana, enjoyed affection from people around her, and showed everyone what a gentle sweetheart she truly is.

Her ideal day? Finding a shady patch of grass, soaking up some love, and enjoying a tasty treat or a refreshing shave ice! She’s not too interested in loud noises or splashing in the ocean, and she’d much rather enjoy the cool air conditioning than stick her head out the car window. Honestly, Pot Pie knows how to keep things cozy!

This lovely girl is looking for a patient, loving forever ‘ohana who will help her build confidence and discover the world at her own pace. If you’re searching for a sweet companion to share quiet moments, gentle adventures, and plenty of affection, Pot Pie might just be your perfect recipe for happiness!

Come meet Pot Pie at Kaua’i Humane Society and see if she’s the missing ingredient in your ‘ohana! 🤍

You can also make your appointment by clicking the linktree in our bio.

Browse our adoptable pets online and find your aloha, like Leroy here 💕

It’s usually $700-900 for us to send pets to the mainland, but thanks to a generous donor we are able to reduce this barrier for adoption to just $100 for the flight, kennel, and all. This discount only goes through 10/31.

Mahalo for choosing us, the Kaua’i Humane Society, to partner with and support in our mission to be the aloha for animals 🐾💕🌴

It’s gonna be scary how much fun we have! 😋👻🌴

10/27/2026

33 adoptions and 8 pets reunited with their owners is not a bad week at all!! 🥹🙌
Swipe to see the cats and dogs who found their forever families, we’re sure you’ll recognize some of them! 🐾

This week is the last of our discounted off-island adoptions- only $100 to get one of our shelter pet to you anywhere on the mainland! ✈️Not only will you gain a Kaua’i best friend, but you’ll save the life of that pet- while making it possible for us to care for even more!

As we’re constantly over capacity in our kennels with amazing animals who deserve to love and be loved, adopting from us means you’re truly helping more animals get the care they need and hopefully get adopted too 💕

Mahalo for all of your care and support!
