YWCA of Kaua'i

YWCA of Kaua'i The YWCA of Kaua'i is a leader on issues of women's empowerment and the elimination of racism on Kaua'i.

In addition to being a passionate advocate for these issues that are integral to the mission of the National YWCA organization, the YWCA of Kaua'i has also crafted a local mission specific to the needs of our community: a strong commitment to eliminating family violence in all of its forms, to provide treatment to those who have been traumatized by violence, and to provide the skills necessary so that individuals who once were violent can live productive and caring lives.

🌺 Celebrating King Kamehameha Day 🌺

Today, we honor the legacy of King Kamehameha I, whose leadership united the Hawaiian Islands and whose vision continues to inspire generations across Hawaiʻi.

At YWCA Kauaʻi, we recognize the values of leadership, unity, mālama, and service that remain deeply rooted in our communities. As we celebrate this important day, we reflect on the strength of our culture, the importance of caring for one another, and our shared responsibility to mālama ʻāina and uplift future generations.

E mālama i ka ʻāina. Care for the land. 🌿

Wishing everyone a meaningful King Kamehameha Day filled with aloha, reflection, and gratitude.

This Pride Month, YWCA Kauaʻi proudly celebrates Kim Coco Iwamoto, a trailblazing leader, advocate, and champion for equality. As one of Hawaiʻi’s first openly transgender elected officials, Kim has dedicated her career to advancing justice, inclusion, and opportunity for all. Her courage, leadership, and commitment to uplifting marginalized communities continue to inspire us and reflect the values of dignity, respect, and belonging that Pride Month honors. We are grateful for her lasting impact and the path she has helped create for future generations.
