“What kids in foster care really need is love...loving these kids, man, is the ticket!" - Corey McKinney, foster dad 💭

What an incredible way to celebrate the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to cheer us on during the Lexington Fourth of July Parade and show your support for Thursday’s Child Kentucky. Your smiles, waves, and encouragement mean so much—not just to us, but to the children and families we serve.

We’re grateful to be part of such a caring community. Thank you for helping us raise awareness and for standing with us as we work to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. ❤️💙

Right now, there are children across Kentucky who need more than a place to stay—they need someone to believe in them, encourage them, and remind them they are worthy of love.

You don’t have to be perfect to become a foster parent. You just need an open heart and a willingness to make a difference. One caring adult can change the course of a child’s life.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time to learn more. There is an incredible need for foster families in our communities, and your “yes” could mean safety, stability, and hope for a child.

Take the first step today. A child is waiting.

⭐ Meet Our 2026 Night with the Stars Masters of Ceremonies, Cameron and Susan Mills! ⭐

As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Night with the Stars benefiting Thursday’s Child Kentucky, we are honored to welcome Cameron and Susan Mills as this year’s Masters of Ceremonies.

Many Kentuckians recognize Cameron Mills as a two-time NCAA National Champion and University of Kentucky basketball standout who helped lead the Wildcats to three Final Fours and three National Championship appearances. Today, Cameron serves as Vice President and Chief Culture Officer for LHC Group while continuing his ministry work, inspiring audiences through messages of faith, leadership, and service.

Susan Mills is an award-winning author, advocate, storyteller, and community leader whose passion for inclusion has touched countless families. Through her nonprofit, My Autism Tribe, and her acclaimed DinoSprout Educational Book Series, Susan has become a powerful voice for children and families navigating autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other exceptionalities.

Together, Cameron and Susan have dedicated their lives to making a difference. As board members of Thursday’s Child Kentucky, Co-Executive Chairs of the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball, and advocates for the Lexington Children’s Museum, they exemplify servant leadership and the power of community.

We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to Thursday’s Child and thrilled to have them help lead this milestone celebration. Their hearts for service, advocacy, and Kentucky families make them the perfect hosts for a night dedicated to changing the lives of children in foster care.

Join us as we celebrate 20 years of hope, impact, and brighter futures at Night with the Stars 2026. ✨❤️
