AVOL Kentucky AVOL Kentucky's mission is to END HIV in Kentucky, for good. AVOL provides housing and support services to persons living with HIV and other medical conditions.

1824 Hill Rise Dr. Lexington, KY 40504 AVOL also provides free testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and other s*xually transmitted diseases. Always free, always confidential. AVOL's goals include reducing the number of persons newly diagnosed with HIV through education, free distribution of prevention supplies, and ongoing testing. AVOL is also working to develop new affordable housing for medically vulnerable persons and their families through a variety of creative private sector/public sector partnerships. No daily pill. No bottle on your nightstand.

AVOL Kentucky will soon offer injectable PrEP, the newest and longest-lasting way to prevent HIV. When taken as prescribed, PrEP lowers the risk of getting HIV from s*x by about 99%, and the injectable version means fewer doses to remember and more privacy.

For almost 40 years, the Lexington nonprofit has gone from driving people to the health department and waiting two weeks for results to running its own clinic. It now provides PrEP services to more than 200 Kentuckians.
