International Student Welcome Picnic

Join us as the Fayette County UK Alumni Club co-hosts a potluck picnic with UK International Student Services to welcome new international students to UK on Sunday, Aug. 16 from 4 - 6 p.m. There will be food, games and opportunities to meet students from every corner of the world. We especially encourage international UK alumni in the Lexington area to attend and connect to share their experiences at UK.

We will be located near the lower side entrance of the Lucille C. Little Fine Arts library building. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Parking is available at the Gatton Student Center on the Avenue of Champions or behind the King Alumni House at 403 Linden Walk.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits. The food, music, and tours were excellent, and it was inspiring to meet the students and learn how they and the faculty are helping advance Kentucky’s bourbon industry. Dr. Michael Huang was honored for his contributions over the years to the club.

We are extending the deadline to noon on Monday to get to a sell-out. Only 10 spots left for this fun evening - 3 tours (distillery, rickhouse, and the newly opened Ag Science building), faculty guest speaker, great food and drink, live music, and a special surprise!
