What a wonderful example of collaboration to enhance our community! The opening of OBC at The Commons represents what’s possible when businesses invest, community leaders collaborate, and passionate people see an opportunity to move our community forward.

It’s about more than a new development or business opening. It’s about people who believe in Lexington, are willing to invest in its future, and are creating something that generations to come will enjoy.

Congratulations to our friends at BHG on their new location for OBC and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. Excited to see what’s ahead for The Commons! 👏

At the Salute to Small Business Awards presented by Forcht Bank , Rob Perez, owner of DV8 Kitchen and our 2025 Small Business of the Year, shared a powerful reminder: a job can do much more than provide a paycheck. It can change a life.

Through DV8 Kitchen, Rob has seen firsthand how meaningful employment can create opportunity, build confidence and give people a path forward.

That impact is a big part of why supporting businesses matters. When businesses have the opportunity to grow and succeed, the impact reaches far beyond their doors, creating opportunities for employees, families and the community as a whole.

At Commerce Lexington, we’re proud to support and connect businesses like DV8 Kitchen that are making a difference in Greater Lexington every day.
