This is Jayden, he is in grade 9 and looking for a sponsor. Jayden lives with his mother, and sadly, his father is not a part of his life. He bravely shared part of his story with me in the hope that someone will choose to sponsor him.

Before coming to Heritage, Jayden was unable to attend school because his family couldn’t afford the school fees. Many days, he also didn’t know whether there would be enough food to eat. He described his life as being full of challenges and uncertainty.
Today, because of Heritage, those worries have been replaced with hope. Jayden knows he will have meals to eat, he has the opportunity to receive an education, and his mother no longer carries the overwhelming burden of trying to provide both school fees and food on her own.

Jayden also shared that before Heritage, he struggled academically. Now, he is earning wonderful grades and thriving in school. With renewed confidence and the chance to learn, he is working toward his dream of one day becoming an engineer.

Before we finished talking, Jayden asked me to say “thank you” in advance to whoever chooses to sponsor him. He said he knows the Lord will provide.

While academic excellence remains a top priority at Heritage Academy, we also recognize the importance of providing students with opportunities that support mental wellness, creativity, strategic thinking, and fun. Activities like chess give our students an outlet to challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop valuable skills beyond the classroom.

We are proud to celebrate our outstanding performance at the recent chess competition, where Heritage Academy earned 1st Place 🎉

A special congratulations goes to Wayne Mwombe, who was recognized as Best Player 👏♟️

We also commend our other talented chess team members who placed in the Top 5, helping secure Heritage Academy’s first-place finish and advancing our school to the next level of competition.

Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have made the entire Heritage family proud!!
