It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we share the passing of our dear Neal Vaughan on Sunday, September 6.

For more than four decades, Neal devoted herself to Chrysalis House, serving as a board member, Board President, and steadfast leader since 1982. Her vision, compassion, and unwavering commitment helped shape Chrysalis House and touched the lives of thousands of women and their families.

Neal taught us the true meaning of treating women with dignity. She believed that every woman deserves the opportunity to heal, rebuild her life, and create a brighter future for herself and her children. Her commitment to that belief became an extraordinary part of the foundation on which Chrysalis House continues its work today.

We are forever grateful for Neal’s leadership, friendship, and unwavering belief in the mission of Chrysalis House. Her legacy lives on, not only in the countless lives she touched, but in every woman who walks through our doors seeking a new beginning.

Our deepest condolences go to Neal’s family and loved ones, and to all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her. We will miss her deeply and will carry her legacy forward in the work we do every day.

This is an annual event to celebrate National Recovery Month and honor the resilience of people in recovery, their families, and the community. 🦋
