SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE REMINDER‼️

The Hutchinson family has benefited from owning and managing a multi-generational chemical manufacturing company. The chemical manufacturing business, by its nature, is heavily reliant on fixed assets to produce chemical products of value to its customers. Trade craft in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, process logic controls, maintenance, and operator skills is essential to keeping the business sustainable. The chemical industry is just one of many industries in Ohio that need a steady supply of qualified people in the trades.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Candidate must be a resident of Delaware County and have earned a high school diploma or GED.
- Candidate must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into an accredited trade school, vocational program, apprenticeship, or technical training program.
- Candidate must submit at least one (1) letter of recommendation from an instructor, employer, mentor, or a community leader who can speak to the applicant’s character, work ethic, or commitment to a skilled trade.
- Candidate must demonstrate financial need, as determined through the scholarship application process.

All aboard the Issue Express!!🚌

Our June Issue Tour will spotlight the vibrant arts and culture scene shaping our community by visiting three inspiring destinations: Boardman Arts Park, The Arts Castle, and Richard M. Ross Art Museum. Each stop offers a unique perspective on how creativity fuels connection, education, and community pride across Delaware County.

Throughout the tour, participants will experience firsthand how these organizations expand access to the arts, support local artists, and create inclusive spaces for expression and learning. From public art installations to educational programming and curated exhibitions, this tour highlights the powerful role the arts play in enriching lives and strengthening our community.

SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE REMINDER‼️

Applications for the Ralph and Mabel Gooding Memorial Scholarship are due by June 1st. Visit delawarecf.org/scholarships to apply or learn more about our scholarship opportunities!

The Ralph and Mabel Gooding Memorial Scholarship Fund was created upon the passing of Ralph and Mabel Gooding in January 2003. The Gooding Family has a long history in Delaware County, going back to the early 1800’s. Mr. and Mrs. Gooding were lifelong residents. Mr. Gooding was a local farmer, and Mrs. Gooding was an educator in Delaware County.

This scholarship provides post-secondary support to college students already enrolled in an accredited university or college and pursuing their first Bachelor’s degree.

REQUIREMENTS

Completed first year or beyond at an accredited university or college;
Attend for four (4) years and graduate from a public high school located in:
Big Walnut Local School District
Buckeye Valley Local School District
Delaware City Schools
Olentangy Local School District
Westerville Central High School
Westerville North High School
Resident of Delaware County, Ohio, when graduated from high school;
Continuing as a full-time student (sophomore, junior, senior) at an accredited university or college pursuing an associate’s or first bachelor’s degree.
Please note:

Applicant is ineligible if the Gooding Scholarship has already been received three (3) times.
Students receiving scholarships may reapply each year if eligible.
Seniors graduating early (mid-year) must be full-time students in all quarters/semesters before graduation and must include the date of graduation to be considered.
