This time of year gets BUSY fast — it’s a full season! ️

We completely understand that schedules are packed and everyone is juggling a lot right now. But, if you happen to have a little extra space in your calendar, we’d absolutely love to see your smiling face and welcome your helping hands at Common Ground Free Store and/or the Donation Center.

Women Giving Together is proud to share a $100k moment in support of the Common Ground Free Store Capital Campaign

Common Ground Free Store Ministries is in desperate need of a building that can comfortably house all of their operations under one roof, and therefore has embarked on a $4 million capital campaign.

A fellow WGT member challenged us to a $25,000 match to inspire our members to contribute to the Common Ground Free Store’s Capital Campaign. The match represented a hope to simply inspire others who care about this mission. What happened went beyond that.

Together, our WGT community gave $62,510. With the match and this year’s grant request, that brings the total to an incredible $102,510.

This shared effort supports an organization that provides free clothing, household items, meals, and other essentials in a welcoming, dignity-centered environment for those in need.

We’re grateful for the generosity that made this possible—and encouraged by what it shows: when a community comes together, it can make a real difference.

What started as a simple idea among 8 friends — a shared desire to do more good in the world — has grown into an inspiring community of 66 women united by generosity, compassion, and purpose. 💜

Together, we are helping change lives across Delaware County, one grant, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

In our very first year (2011), we awarded $6,800 in grants. This year alone, we’ve already surpassed $95,000 — and over the lifetime of WGT, we have proudly granted an incredible $930,693 back into our community.

This week’s Grant Reception was more than a celebration — it was a reminder of what’s possible when women come together with hearts focused on making a difference. And the best part? We’re just getting started.

Our next event, Gather & Give, takes place this November, and we are on track to surpass $1M in lifetime grants awarded.

What can $95,700 do? A lot—when a community comes together with purpose.

This year, Women Giving Together proudly funded grants that are directly improving lives across our community—supporting families in crisis, empowering young girls, feeding children and older adults, and increasing access for individuals with disabilities.

From emergency shelter staffing to nutrition programs, from Camp Hamwi to Girls on the Run, each investment reflects our shared commitment to dignity, opportunity, and care.

Every grant tells a story—and together, those stories are building a stronger, more connected community. Because of our members and these organizations, we helped change lives.
