🚨 URGENT: TICKS FOUND ON KIDS AFTER LOCAL PARK BBQ 🚨
📍 Please read and share with other parents in the neighborhood!
Yesterday, during a community barbecue, ticks were found on the clothes of multiple children who had been playing in the park. 🧒🏽🧒🏾
These tiny insects are not harmless — they can carry dangerous diseases like:
• 🦠 Lyme Disease (can cause joint pain, fatigue, and nerve problems)
• 🧠 Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
• 🩸 Babesiosis & Anaplasmosis
Left untreated, some of these can become serious or even fatal.
✅ What to do NOW:
• Check your children’s hair, neck, behind the ears, and clothing — especially if they were at the park recently.
• Wash and dry clothes on high heat to kill any hidden ticks.
• Use insect repellents if visiting grassy or wooded areas.
• Watch for any unusual symptoms over the next few weeks like rashes, fever, or fatigue — and contact a doctor immediately if anything seems off.

Let’s keep our kids safe and informed. Please share this with other families who were at the BBQ or frequent the park!
