One of our ships service projects is to welcome home Veterans from Honor Flight Columbus. Over the years we have seen many Vietnam Era Veterans and every time it is a humbling experience, to finally give them the welcome home they never got. Today we pay tribute to all those who served our country in the Vietnam War. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Yesterday, we had a very special occasion. Ben, who earned his Quartermaster back in mid September held his Bridge of Honor yesterday. He has been involved in the ship for 4 years. Within those years he has been our Boatswain's mate of Administration, Boatswain. Central Region Area 4 Boatswain and. Is currently serving as the chair of the Sea Scout National Quarterdeck Publicity Committee. For his Quartermaster project, he led the construction of 12 booster seats for his high school's theatre department. He also awarded his parents parents pin, his grandmother a paddle wrapped in rope that he made. He also gave three of his mentors a rope paddle. Congratulations on earning Quartermaster, Ben. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Oh bouy! It's valentine's day!!! We love our boats and since it's Valentine's Day that only means boating season is only a couple more months until boating season!!! We can't wait!!

Happy national rubber duck day!! At the last meeting, we had a swimmingly good time as we took our swim tests. Remember to keep an eye on our calendar. At our next meet we will be having a training day where we will go over ILSS and after we will have our change if watch ceremony!
