📣 WE’RE HIRING: Part-Time Bingo Coordinator! 🎯
Looking for a fun, dynamic role where you can make a big impact in our community? The Lewes Senior Activity Center is looking for a welcoming, organized Bingo Coordinator to lead our weekly Bingo games!
If you love working with people, keeping events running smoothly, and bringing great energy to our members, this is the perfect job for you.
✨ WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Run the Show: Oversee game-day setup, manage pre-game dinner & intermission food service, and keep the game floor running fairly and smoothly.
Handle Sales & Cash: Manage door sales (cards, daubers, food tickets), balance cash drawers, process prize payouts, and keep track of inventory.
Assist with Coordinating Volunteers: Brief, support, and work alongside our fantastic team of volunteers each week.
Keep Records: Maintain accurate event logs, attendance, and sales while ensuring compliance with DE Charitable Gaming rules.
💡 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Background in event planning, food service, cash handling, or customer service (working with seniors/non-profits is a major plus!).
Strong math, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
ServSafe certified (or willing to get certified).
Ability to stand/walk during events and lift up to 25 lbs for setup.

📺 **TV Stars in the Making?** 🌟

Our members had a fantastic time behind the scenes at a taping of **WBOC’s Delmarva Life**! From watching the show being taped to getting a tour of the studio, it was a fun day filled with plenty of smiles—and maybe a few future TV stars! 😉

A huge **thank you to WBOC and hosts Lisa Bryant and James McDonald** for their warm hospitality and for giving our members such a memorable experience!

Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth Proudly Introduces Our New Pet Food Pantry!


Older adults are one of the fastest-growing segments of our population, and many seniors continue to face food insecurity. For some, that struggle comes with an especially heartbreaking choice: feeding themselves or feeding the pet they love.

Pets provide companionship, comfort, purpose, and connection—especially for homebound seniors who may experience loneliness or isolation. Yet research from Meals on Wheels America has found that more than 1 in 5 clients have sacrificed their own food to make sure their pets could eat.

That is why Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth is proud to launch our new Pet Food Pantry initiative.

Through donations of unopened dog and cat food from our generous community, we hope to help ensure that the seniors we serve can maintain their own nutrition while also caring for the furry companions who mean so much to them.

Our goal is simple: no senior should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their beloved pet.

Together, we can help our seniors and their companions remain healthy, nourished, and together—one meal at a time.

Yesterday our members enjoyed a beautiful late summer day riding the Strasburg Railroad followed by a visit to the Kitchen Kettle Village for local shopping, snacking, and exploring. It was a great way to spend a summer Monday! 🚂🥨☀️🍦

Shayne Brittingham and his family came in to pick up the school supplies YOU donated for their Free Backpack & School Supply Giveaway this Saturday—and they quickly realized they needed to make another trip! ❤️

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, there are so many supplies ready to help local children start the school year prepared and excited. 📚✏️🎒

Spend the day exploring Cape May, NJ with us!

We’ll take the ferry from Lewes and then board the shuttle to downtown Cape May, where you’ll have approximately **5 hours** to shop, explore, enjoy lunch, and soak up the charm of this beautiful seaside town.

Then, it’s back to the ferry for a relaxing ride home to Lewes.

Come along for a fun-filled day of shopping, sightseeing, great food, and Cape May memories!
