Thank you for making our Second Annual Farm to Table Brunch such a success! 💚💚💚

Despite the rainy weather, we gathered for a wonderful event celebrating local food, the farmers who grow it, and the community that makes the work of the Historic Lewes Farmers Market possible.

Guests enjoyed a live jazz trio, our Market Plein Air Art Exhibition, specialty seasonal cocktails, and a brunch buffet featuring ingredients sourced from HLFM farmers and producers. We also heard from our farmers about their farming histories and the impact the HLFM has had on their businesses.

Thanks to everyone who joined us! We are so grateful to our community of supporters for helping us continue the important work of supporting small family farm businesses and providing healthy, fresh food to our neighbors.

More than a Market. 💚 The HLFM thanks Meluney Alleman & Spence for being a Master Gardener Market Sponsor.

Meluney Alleman & Spence is a local boutique law firm focused on business litigation, and the team enjoys being out and about in Lewes and supporting local initiatives.

For the firm, supporting the HLFM is about recognizing that the Market is so much more than a place to buy food. They are especially inspired by the Market’s food pantry outreach and its work to provide nutritious food to those who need it most. The Farm to Community program, which distributes fresh food to 18 local pantries, is one impact that has really stuck with them, sharing that "supporting local farmers while increasing access to food is something that everyone can feel good about."

They also see the HLFM as a community treasure. It's a place to discover what and how farmers are growing, connect with friends and neighbors, and experience the sights and smells of local food and being creative with it. Their favorite part of the Market is the chef demonstrations, especially Henlopen City Oyster House, which the firm makes a point of attending together.

Good food brings people together. 💚 The HLFM thanks Dogfish Head Dogfish Head B**r and Benevolence for supporting the Historic Lewes Farmers Market as a Green Thumb Sponsor.

Josh Fehr, Head Chef at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, moved to Lewes in 2025 and quickly found a welcoming community. He has enjoyed getting involved in local events, especially those centered around food, and was excited to take part in his first Market Demo this past summer.
