We need a group effort here for BEAR!
We want to get him into animal surgical center with Dr. Infernus for a second opinion on his thyroid cancer prognosis. We were told it’s in a very bad spot and it has tripled in size in a matter of weeks.
This lump came out of nowhere as soon as Bear started receiving applications and interest for adoption. Life couldn’t be any more unfair to Bear. We are trying to do everything possible to give him the best rest of his days, even if that means removing the mass and allowing him to recover and give him some more time.
Right now, the mass is pressing on his airway, so it does make it difficult for him to eat, swallow & eventually breath.
We are hoping someone is available to take Bear to his appointment and then someone to take him back home to his Foster. The destination is new jersey to Oceanside, New York and then back from Oceanside, New York to new Jersey. (About 30 min from NYC into NJ)
We understand this is an all day trip and commitment so we are asking for two volunteers to help bear, gas money and tolls will be reimbursed. All we ask is your time and vehicle.
We have not booked the appointment as of yet we’d like to get a committed Yes, on both trips before we schedule the date we will do everything we can to work around your schedule.
