Humphrey Update 11/4/26

He’s getting adopted! (Second pic w/ foster sister)
Humphreys stitches came out on Monday. The doctor said he’s healing nicely after his 48 hour stay with them. Humphrey received the treatment he needed to heal.

Thank you all for your continuous prayers and donations. Although he’s getting adopted and he’s back to his happy puppy self our vet bill is still not covered in full. We are asking for any amount to help us clear our balance, we need to be able to help the next pup when needed.

Below is our link for PayPal, Venmo, Zelle THANK YOU ALL ❤️🐾

‼ URGENT ‼ But Make It Fashion 📸
Chopper's Halloweekend has begun 🎃 Instead of a scary costume he wants to show everyone his new ducky pajamas & make it known that he's still BEGGING for someone to cuddle with. Chopper came to us emaciated & abused. He must be a solo dog but is a velcro sidekick to his people! He's in boarding when all he wants & needs is a safe place to crash Please help us get Chopper where he belongs ... Time is running out.
We've been given a deadline. The facility said he MUST move before Thanksgiving. That's 3 weeks before Chopper has nowhere to go. It's spooky season 👻 but we're getting scared. He NEEDS someone to help us help him! Apply here to foster or adopt: https://linktr.ee/pitofoursoulsrescue
He loves people! He loves to play! He loves the car! He loves being loved on! He loves being SAFE! He's known so much bad in his life & we're running out of ways to make sure his happy ending is what he deserves. PLEASE consider letting Chopper crash at your house! 🏡

We are also looking for people to assist with alternate drop off locations. You must be able to store the items and help drop off on Nov 7th. Contact Melissa Arnold-Velazquez to help! Thank you for your continued support throughout the years! We appreciate you! 🐾

After 3 years, MADDIE IS HOME. 💜

We pulled Maddie and her babies in 2016, and in 2017 she was adopted by my best friend’s father. When we lost him, and then my best friend, to COVID, Maddie was given away without our knowledge, against her adoption contract. For 3 years we had no idea where she was. I honestly thought I would never see her again.

Over two weeks ago, an animal control officer found Maddie wandering in Connecticut. She sat in the shelter on a stray hold until Protectors of Animals pulled her. When their vet scanned her during her vaccines, her microchip came up as stolen. That’s when they called us, and yesterday we brought her home.

She walked in calm as ever, ate her dinner, and settled right in like she never left. Maddie is staying with me for good. 🥹 She’s the piece of them I got back, and she’ll be at our Thanksgiving table this year, getting all the good stuff.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to:
🐾 Protectors of Animals
🐾 Lisa Barao, who drove Maddie halfway to us
🐾 Double A Veterinary Hospital in Wethersfield, CT

PLEASE microchip your dogs, and keep the info updated. If Maddie wasn’t chipped, we never would have found her. 💛

PLEASE 💔‼️ Please don't let this be where Humphrey's support ends. He's still severely infected, his stitches are bursting, he's leaking blood and fluids from his groin while his ge****ls are bleeding & swollen.
PayPal, Venmo, Zelle: https://linktr.ee/pitofoursoulsrescue

HE'S IN PAIN! From what we've summed up to TWO botched surgical procedures. We're fighting it with everything we can, the vets are on top of treatment but no real improvement yet. He needs stronger, longer treatment & we're back & begging for more support to get him through it. These donations are funneling directly into his care - these dollars are for this case. He can't sit comfortably; he doesn't want to eat & most of the damage is internal where we can't even see or imagine it. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING! Please share, please pray & thank you for every dollar of support!

UPDATE ‼️ 10/25/26

Humhrey's amazing foster has been visting him every day, we're hoping he'll be heading home soon.

He's still oozing fluids with swelling and bruising. He's been in the ICU since 10/21. We're waiting for the culture to come back with an exact answer of what antibiotics are needed. As of now, he’s received IV antibiotics iv fluids iv pain & anti-inflammatory meds. His medical costs are still rising & we stand by our pups whatever the cost. We appreciate every one of our donors and supporters & unfortunately we still need help. 🐾🙏🏼 please keep Humphrey in your prayers.
PLEASE HELP!!! 💔 Humphrey is getting worse instead of better. We're begging for help. Humphrey is now on the surgery table. His whole groin was filled with fluids causing his stitches to burst, & he walked in with fluids & blood leaking down his legs. His care has cost thousands that we don't have!!! PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING! Every single dollar matters!!! WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS TO HELP THESE DOGS THAT NEED US ❤️‍🩹

Please help us get Humphrey treated! This week already has him recovering from hernia surgery & his neuter which has sent him downhill so quickly. He’s lethargic & in pain. We’ve done bloodwork, testing & x-rays with no solid answers. He’s only 7 months old & he’s been through enough! ❤️‍🩹 Please! Help us help Humphrey!!
