Lazy Days proved to be an unforgettable community celebration, complete with perfect timing as we even beat the odds with the weather. The event welcomed hundreds of residents of all ages for a day of fun at no cost, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.

We’d like to thank our sponsors and supporters (local businesses), whose generosity made it possible to provide a bounce house, petting zoo, pony rides, desserts, prizes, and entertainment by the SCA Lions of Canton.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our exhibitors. A special shout out to the VFW 9592 Auxiliary who kept children smiling with their colorful sand art station and an energetic water balloon toss and to Levittown Kiwanis who generously sponsored face painting and temporary tattoos, adding even more excitement to the day.

A special thank you goes to the Levittown Fire Department, who not only cooled us off with their fire hose at the park, but also arrived at 9:00 a.m. to deliver the tables and chairs we needed. Your support was invaluable, and we are truly grateful.

Our longtime favorite DJ, Tim Aldredge, kept the energy high with great music and fun contests throughout the day.

To our volunteers—both adults and students—thank you. Your time and dedication are the backbone of this event.

We are grateful to the Parks Department and the Town of Hempstead for allowing us to use the park and the show mobile, and for keeping the grounds tidy throughout the day.

Lazy Days truly takes a village. We appreciate every person who contributed, attended, or supported the event. And to my board: your hard work over the past several months made this day possible. I am incredibly proud of all you accomplished.

Levittown Community Council’s Jr. Volunteer of the Year Awards ceremony on Tuesday evening was a wonderful event! We celebrated three remarkable Middle School students for their volunteer efforts to benefit others. Congratulations to first place winner Isabella Chelbek and runners up Matthew Perez and Alivia Munro. It was a great evening enjoyed by all!!
