President Fran Inslee devoted four hours to collecting flags placed on veterans' graves for Memorial Day, spending two hours yesterday and two hours today at Long Island National Cemetery, while other members Liz Mancini and Patricia Hines assisted in different sections today. Over 800 flags were collected filling the trunk and with the others collected, we hit over 1200.

This morning, six members from the Levittown VFW Post 9592 and five Levittown VFW Auxiliary to Post 9592 gathered at L. I. National Cemetery to proudly place American flags on the final resting places of their heroic comrades, who made the ultimate sacrifice for their Country or honorably served and continued to inspire after their return home. May their courage and legacy forever be remembered, and may they rest in peace. # #
