Founded in 1960 to support the community, the Woman’s Club of St. is a501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on raising money for educational and other charitable groups in St. Our members contribute their time and talent toward raising money for college scholarships for high achieving, low-income students. e, Keeping Children Warm, Save the Bay, St. Mary’s County Shoe Fund, Veteran’s Home, Skills USA, NAACP Student Backpacks and St. Mary’s Caring. The club conducts two major fundraising events each year. Our primary fundraiser is the annual U.S. National Oyster Festival in October, where the club sells boutique collectibles, crafts, baked goods, coffee and refreshments along with holding a silent auction and flea market. The club also sponsors at least two clothing drives each year. Whether you’re new to the county or a long-time resident, we welcome your participation. Membership offers individuals a sense of fellowship with others from diverse backgrounds and interests and the opportunity to contribute your talent and creativity toward improving the quality of life in our county.
