We’re really looking forward to our time with New Life Church in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada, this weekend. We’ll be there from Thursday through Tuesday, spending some time with our friends Chris and Cristina, who lead the church, and with God’s amazing people.

We’ve been invited to teach on spiritual warfare, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store. He is always faithful to meet with hungry hearts.

10/01/2026

Our relationship with God is not based on our fragile humanness, but on his unbreakable covenant.

By passing through the sacrifice alone while Abram slept, God took sole responsibility for the covenant by taking on the penalty for human failure before mankind was ever made. A covenant promise fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

This means our spiritual standing, our place of eternal inheritance, is anchored in ENDURING GRACE that cannot be canceled by our mistakes our stumbles.

God has sworn by Himself.

It is easy to become critical of what is wrong in the Church. We can all see the weaknesses, failures and imperfections. Sometimes they distort our understanding of God and leave a bitter taste in our mouths.
But the Bible calls the Church the Bride of Christ, and I find this one of the most helpful ways to see her.

“Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”
Ephesians 5:25

He died for His Bride. If we could understand how passionately, infinitely Jesus loves His Church, I think we would treat her so differently from how we unfortunately sometimes do.

Yes, she has flaws. But if Jesus gave Himself up for the Church, surely His love for her should make us want to love her too. To protect her, enrich her, nurture her and defend her.
Not her faults, but her.

I find the more I fall in love with Jesus, the more I love His Bride. The love of Christ has been shed abroad in my heart, and increasingly, that love radiates out to others.

We are the Church.

The King has not called us to live under His rule only as individuals. He is building a people set apart for His purposes.

Paul describes the Church as one Body:

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
(Romans 12:4–5 NIV)

We have different roles and different functions, but we belong to one another. We are not simply individuals who happen to believe the same things or attend the same meetings. Together, we are His Church.

There is an identity we have in Christ individually, but there is also an identity we share together.

We're so grateful for the privilege of spending the weekend with Redemption City Church! God has so much in store for them and it was beautiful to be a part of it for the weekend. We are always humbled that the Lord allows us to attend His bride. There is no greater privilege.

All glory to Jesus for all the lives He touched this weekend. He is always faithful.

We love you, Lord.

We are excited to be back in Denver this weekend to spend some time with Redemption City Church.
Expectantly waiting on the Holy Spirit to do whatever He wants to do. And grateful for the privilege of being with God's precious people.

In South Africa we have a dessert called koeksisters. They are delicious doughy knots that are soaked in a type of honey syrup. They ooze with gooey yumminess.

That’s how I think the Lord wants to be in our lives. We have so much of Him in us that He oozes out. No one can take a bite of us without tasting Him.

If we soak in Him, in His Word and in His presence, we will be transformed. And as we are, we will start to see the things of this earth as the wrong way around, and the things of the Kingdom as the most beautiful way to live.

The answer is Jesus. We soak in Him. We allow Him to change us from the inside out. As He does, His priorities become our priorities. His ways become our ways.

We become so saturated in Him that He seeps out of us. And when people encounter us, they taste Him.

That is Kingdom culture lived out.

“There’s always ‘how much more’ in God. Never settle down.”

Everything God does grows. As His Word gets into us, it begins to stir something within us, creating a deeper hunger for Him and a desire for more of all He has for us.

We loved spending the weekend with Mike and Edwina and Village Community Church.
It's always good to see old friends, encourage one another, and spend time with the body of Christ.
Looking forward to seeing all the Lord has in store for this church.
Thank you for hosting us so well.

And most of all, thank you to our Lord and King for all the lives He touched this weekend. May your Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.

Our latest article is out, and we’re continuing our look at Kingdom culture, this time looking at what it means to live as citizens of Heaven.

We’ve all been in arguments before. Sometimes, when we feel like we know we’re right, it can be difficult to let something go. We want to explain it just one more time, correct their misunderstanding, or, if we’re honest, win them over to our side, because obviously it’s the right side.
We like to be right. We’re ok with them being wrong, as long as they admit they’re wrong and we’re right.
It’s like playing tennis, we can go back and forth a bit, but we want to win the point.

But what does Kingdom culture look like in our relationships, in the way we hold what God has given us, and in where we ultimately place our security?
