Imagination Library Week: Inspiring a Love of Reading

More moments from Imagination Library Week! We are continuing to celebrate the importance of early childhood literacy with photos of our amazing volunteers reading to Pre-K students throughout Wilson County.

From sharing a favorite story to sparking a child’s imagination, these reading visits are a simple but meaningful way to encourage a lifelong love of books and learning.

We want to extend a special thank you to all of our volunteers who took the time to make reading an exciting part of the day for our youngest learners. Together, we’re building stronger readers and brighter futures — one story at a time.

Celebrating Imagination Library Week Across Wilson County!

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting Pre-K classrooms throughout Wilson County in celebration of Imagination Library Week and sharing the joy of reading with our youngest learners.

These visits are a wonderful opportunity to encourage early childhood literacy and help build a strong foundation for a lifelong love of reading. There’s something special about gathering a classroom of children around a good book — especially when those children are just beginning their reading journey!

We’re grateful to the teachers and schools who welcomed us into their classrooms and to everyone who supports Wilson Books from Birth and its mission to put books into the hands of local children.

We had so much fun reading, visiting and making memories with these young readers!

More photos from Imagination Library Week are coming soon! 📚

Dolly called them the “true heroes” of her Imagination Library. Today, we’re celebrating them. ❤️

Across five countries, thousands of Local Program Partners are working in their communities every day to make Dolly’s dream possible—raising funds, building support and helping children receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

That’s what it means to Give Like Dolly.

It’s not about how much you give. It’s about finding a way to help. A donation. Sharing a story. Encouraging a friend to get involved. When we give from the heart, we can make a difference in the lives of children right where we live.

Join us in celebrating the people and communities carrying Dolly’s spirit of generosity forward. 📚
